If you are interested to know what advice I have for you (I am not a professional, but I've been actively reading and writing poetry for quite some time. If you get hurt easily, PLEASE tell me beforehand, because I can be quite harsh sometimes (unintentionally).

She's right, keep writing, you will improve. But more importantly, read more. Reading helps you develop your style in writing (although I don't know my style yet) and it trains you to look out for details and allows you to compare and contrast.
