Dark Score House of Night(started but still open)

He squares his shoulders and steps closer to her "if you have something to say Alaina, say it."

"Maybe it's best left unsaid. It wouldn't be the proper High Priestess thing to do, but I'm having a hard time forgiving you for blowing me off and then not searching for me until now." I said.

He laughs evilly "you didn't seem to have a problem with me last night."

"You were kissing me, I was in a situation where you made me forget that I'm very pissed off with you." I said.

He grins "looks like I should try that again "

"Uh huh, and what if this time I hit you on the back of the head with a lamp and fire you so you don't?" I asked.

He chuckles and looks at her " you don't deserve an explanation." he turns and heads for the door

"You can if you want. Doesn't mean I'll believe it or forgive you." I said and continued my paperwork. "Then agaian, I dont deserve anything good."

"have a nice life Alaina" he says over his shoulder before walking out and slamming the door behind him.

I sighed. Life never works out how you want it to. I thought. "He'll find someone better than me, I don't have time for guys."

He spends the rest of the day concentrated on grading papers. He stayed late that night until most of his work was done.

I finished my paperwork and walked out of my office. I started walking towards my room.

He sits at his desk reading.

I go to my room and sit on my bed. He couldn't tell that my anger wasn't actually anger, I was sad because I didn't understand. I wanted to hear the explaination, I knew it'd probably be something bad but I needed to know.

He continues reading and writing some stuff down at his desk.

I felt like I should apologize for what I said. I got up and went to his classroom just taking a shot he hadn't gone home. I walked straight in like he did yesterday. "Hayden, I'm sorry about earlier. I was pissed off about the mess that I've been in since becoming a vampire and you wanting to talk just added to the flame." I said.

He scoffs and stands up. She needed to hate him, it'd be best if she did. "I don't wanna hear it Alaina." he says as he puts his jacket on.

I sighed. "Fine, I just thought the explaination would be nice to hear. I guess I shouldn't have bothered you." I walked out before he could try to tell me anything and went back to my room.

He slams his door behind her, spidering the glass window.

I didn't let my emotions take control this time. I truly did hate him now, I no longer wanted someone to love me other than my brother. It's not worth the heartbreak to keep trying.

The night before kept flashing in his head. He couldn't tell her how he felt. He'd only know her a day, this was rediculious. A week went by, he hadn't seen her at all.. Didn't even think about her. Until today, where he'd had to see her at their teacher council meeting in 10 minutes.

I went down to the meeting knowing I was early but I could careless. I was early, not late.

He arrived at the meeting 5 minutes late. He walks in buttoning up his shirt with his tie in his mouth. He sits down and apologizes for his tardiness.

I nodded at him and continued with what I was saying.

The guy next to him said something and they started laughing quietly.
