The Fairest of Them All

I kissed him. "I love you."

"I love you too." He kissed her head. "I'll be back first thing in the morning." He got up and drove home. He went upstairs to ALice.

I was rocking Damien while the others slept. I hadn't noticed that Andrew had came home.

I fell asleep.

I started to sing to them. It was a beautiful song but it was also very old. It was my favorite to sing.

Andrew stood in the door way and watched Alice. He smiled at her and his sleeping children.

I kept rocking and singing. I didn't even notice he was there. I got up and put Damien down in his crib and Hazel started to cry. I smiled and went over and picked her up. I gave her a bottle and let her drink. I sat back down and rocked her.

Andrew went to her. "Let me, sometimes a girl needs her daddy." He smiled at Alice and reached for Hazel.

I jumped when I heard his voice. "Don't sneek up on me like that!" I handed her to him. "you scared the crap out of me."

"Sorry Alice." He kissed her cheek and took Hazel. She smiled up at him. "Hi pretty girl." she looked up at me as if to ask "where's mommy" "Mommy's going to be back tomorrow baby girl. Mommy's alright." Damien started to fuss at the sound of his voice as if saying "over here daddy. I'm here too." Andrew smiled and rubbed Damiens stomach. "I didnt forget about you big boy."

I smiled "They were just fine while you were gone. They slept most of the time." I was glad to see the andrew I was use to back. That's when I herd my baby crying and walked over to him and picked him up. I sat down on the bed and rocked him. compaired to hazel and them he was so much smaller and lighter. I caughed a little and caughed up some blood. I made sure it didn't fall onto the ground.

Andrew smelled blood and looked at Alice. "You alright?" He kept rocking Hazel and kept rubbing Damiens stomach.

I swallowed "Yea...this has been happening since after he was born. although it was just coughing at first." My throut started to burn a tad but I just ignored it.

"Need water?"He called a guard. "Go get Alice some water oh and bring some blood too." He hadnt drank any blood that day.

I kept rocking william. He was calm again and back to sleep. "How is she?"

"She's alot better. I dont know what happened. One second she was holding Hazel and the next she was on the floor." He put Hazel back in her crib. "I could tell that the kids were scared a little." He kissed both of their head. When the guard came in with the water and blood he took them and handed the water to ALice then drank the blood.

I drank the water. "Shelby will have a lot of health problems. You might want to keep that dr over here for her. this is just mild compaired what is to come."

"Yea I've already got people setting up a room for him"

I nodded. I was exosted. I tryed not to show it. I kpet rocking Will and watching Andrew. He really was a great father....

"You need your rest. You can stay in your old room or you can stay in here with the babies." He kissed her head. "Shelby's going to be so happy to see you tomorrow." He went to the babies and kissed both of them. "Night my beautiful children. " He smiled at them then went to his room and layed on his bed. He had been sleeping alone in that bed for centuries but now it felt so empty with out Shelby. He changed into sleeping pants then crawled into bed. He held Shelby's pillow and smelled it. It was almost as if she was there....almost....

I woke up. I missed Andrew. I tried to fall back asleep, butcouldn't.

I smiled and decided to stay in here. I walked back to bed and laid down. I put Will in a crib and laid down and fell asleep. I slept peacefully. It was really nice.

Andrew couldnt sleep he pulled out his cell phone and called the hospital. They called Shelby's room.

My phone rang. "Hello?" I answered sleepily.

I heard a baby cry and I got up out of bed and rocked Hazel. "Mama will be home tomorrow. shhhh" I calmed her down before andrew would freak.
