See if I care.
See if I care about your apologies you begging for forgiveness.
Now you don’t say anything at all.
You don’t even know I exist.
You don’t even know I have a name.
I’m just another bug on the windshield to you.

Clumsy
Crazy, in a good way
Nerdy
Sensitive
Over all just someone who you would judge completely
But who are you to judge when I am also:
Kind
Caring
A great listener,
And an even better friend
Someone who will make you laugh,
When you know your about to cry.
Someone who will help you with your broken heart,
And crushed dreams.
Over all the best friend you could ever have.

Heehee I changed colors. But anyways this is about how I'm feeling right now. Even though I have the best friends I could ever ask for (however dorky they may be). I also seem to get judged alot. Even though it may just be by the popular kids, it doesn't make a diffrence to me. I am still a human being and that doesn't mean you can make me feel bad so you can feel good. I know who I am better than you ever could. And I just want to say I hope it makes you feel good that I have friends who respect me and like me for who I am not who I pretend to be.

None of that rant was directed to any of you, it's just something I wanted to get out there.

Through The Darkness
I was getting ready to quit,
My world was tumbling down.
But then your letter came,
And my frown is replaced,
With a smile upon my face.
Maybe your news isn’t that good,
But hearing from you steadied my world.
I wish I could see who you are
Instead of wishing back here from afar.
Even though your letter did not bring best of news,
It made me think of you,
And that is just enough to pull me through another day.

The Candle
Even in the darkest of times,
There is still a light.
A hope,
A dream,
An idea.
That one day the light will be bright,
It will shine from sea to sea,
All around the world saying:
‘Look, we did it,
We are no longer victims,
We are survivors!’
But until then, we only have a flame of hope.
A candle in the impossibly dark passageway of life,
And that, my friend, will have to be enough,
For now.

Two Sides
There are always two sides,
They say.
Oh well, lets listen to the ‘supposed’ bullies side.
There’s no ‘supposed’ about it.
Sure, nothing is every simply black and white,
But this is about as simple as it comes.
I was hurt by him,
He hurt me.
But no,
Let’s hear his side,
Let’s hear his lies.
And let’s believe them.
So I get hurt,
Then they hurt me more,
By saying oh, she’s lieing he’s just a perfect little angel.

Taken Away

Dragged away from family,
Don’t fear my child,
I will make it through another day.
Hour after endless hour,
Not a single break.
But don’t fear my child,
I will make it through another day.
I see you watch me,
And I want to wipe away your tears.
Don’t fear my child,
I will live another day.
I come home and hear your joyous shouts,
But I feel sorrowful when I tell you I can’t stay but a minute.
Don’t fear my child,
I will live another day.
Never fear,
Because I will make it home.

This poem is for class, it was inspired by the great book Red Scarf Girl By Ji-Li Jiang. We (My class) had to use a sceene that was very emotional as the assinment. I hope I did just that. This sceene is about when Ji-Li's dad gets detained and she goes and watches him through a window, an a month or so later they get news that he's comeing home but when he gets there he just has to get clothes and leave. So this poem's speaker is Ji-Li's father to his daughter Ji-Li.

Secrets

Yet another day passes,
She’s got her past bottled up.
Not even the one for her,
Knows what’s up.
She loves him,
As he her,
But secrets are drifting them apart.

She let it all out,
Just last night,
But now she regrets speaking at all.
He feels so bad,
But he’s angry she kept it from her.
He thought they had trust,
But he thinks he thought wrong.
If only he knew what she has been through.

It’s been two days,
He hasn’t said two words to her.
She’s regretting so much,
She cannot bear it anymore.
She watches him at school,
Day by day,
Wondering if he ever thinks of her,
Yet never uttering a word in her direction.

It’s been three weeks,
And they’re back together.
She’s overjoyed,
And he is so sorry for leaving.
She watches him now,
Without regret,
Without wondering if he thinks of her.
They walk together,
Hand in hand,
Showing the world,
Yes we can!

It’s been eight years,
Those silly secrets long forgotten,
And now he asks the question.
She’s overjoyed and immediately says yes,
He is relived and has no regret.
Every secret is now spoken,
No more will linger between them.

Cliques

We’re all the same really,
Goths,
Emos,
Geeks,
Jocks,
Snobs.
Every one of us,
All the same,
And we need to stick together.
We’re all labled by each other,
Well,
Why?
We’re all just people.
I wear black,
That means I’m goth or emo.
I get good grades and have glasses,
I’m a geek.
I’m athletic,
I’m a jock and I must be stupid.
I’m a cheerleader,
So I must be blonde, dumb, and snobby.
We’re all just people,
So why call us names,
When really,
We’re all the same.
We all have pasts that we can’t change,
And futures we can.
We’re all kids in a mixed up world,
And if you can’t except it,
Then you aren’t one of us,
People.

How many smiles are fake?
How many tears are shed?
There are so many words,
But none of them right,
To describe the emotion,
That's so close to right.
It's not sad,
Or angry,
Or happy,
It just is.
Part of me feels gone,
Not physically,
But emotionally.
I'm so used to it,
I don't even notice it,
Just when I think I found it,
It slips from my grasp.
Don't ask why,
It just is.

I couldn't think of a title so feel free to sugest. It's kind of how I feel right now, sort of. So... yeah.

I trusted you,
I told him.
You lied to me,
He told me the truth
You made a fake reality.
He never liked me,
He never will like me.

It’s been months,
And you think I forgot.
I will never forget,
What you forgot.
I can never talk to him,
He makes me feel like a fool.
You promised me,
He would like me.
He promised me,
He didn’t.
So I got crushed,
By my crush,
While you watched,
And laughed.

It’s been a year,
You think it’s over now.
A harmless prank,
You had pulled.
It wasn’t harmless,
It tore us apart,
A gentle friendship,
Into an awkward acquaintance.
We will never be the same,
But you will never change.
Lying and deceiving,
For your own gain.

So if anyone is reading this, could you please tell me? In all honesty I think I'm just writing to myself.
