Tonight's Full Moon is called the Cold Moon and Long Night's Moon. This moon is the one that celebrates the longest night before the Yule celebration later this month. The term Long Night Moon is a doubly appropriate name because the midwinter night is indeed long, and because the Moon is above the horizon for a long time. The midwinter full Moon has a high trajectory across the sky because it is opposite a low Sun.
This night is a night in which we celebrate the greatest ability to join forces and attract others. By joining forces with others of the same mindset as ourself, we can get our message across and be heard. In doing so we also give to ourself more protection with the new friends and loved ones we have made.
