The Wolf's Story (Twilight, After Breaking Dawn)

((Okay so I've been thinking about what would've happened to the wolves after the Twilight Saga. This is a few years after Breaking Dawn, Emily and Sam are married, Claire is fifteen and dating Quil, and Kim and Jared are engaged. So yeah, enjoy!))

Q.P.O.V.

“Hi, Clair-Bear,” I said sitting next to her in the living room of her home.

“I’m not two anymore, Quil. You can call me Clair now.” She said trying to sound annoyed but she couldn’t help smiling.

“I know you aren’t two, you’re 15 and a half.” I said. “But I still like the nickname Clair-Bear.”

“Fine.” She sighed and scooted closer to me. I leaned down to kiss her which was interrupted by a howl from Sam.

“Stupid Sam.” I muttered. I bent down and kissed her quickly. “I have to go Clair-Bear, see you in an hour or so.”

She nodded “Ok see ya,” she said and got up to go do something.

I ran out into the woods, when I was safely in them I pulled off my clothes, tied them to my leg and phased taking off in Sam’s direction.

Did you and Claire-Bear have fun? Paul thought making a lovey-dovey voice on Clair-Bear.

Yes, did you and Rachel have fun making out in front of Jacob Paul? I asked.

He growled Cool it you two! Sam commanded and we shut-up.

Jared’s P.O.V.

I’d heard the first three howls, I was waiting for Kim to get off from work, and I was surprising her. This howl seemed close though. I walked to the door and opened it to see a just phased, and luckily clothed, Embry on the doorstep.

“Sam wanted me to quote ‘drag you out by my teeth if I had to so you’d get to the meeting’” he said.

“Of all times,” I muttered to myself and then walked out with him to phase and get to the meeting.

E.P.O.V.

Embry, go get Jared. Sam commanded, not an alpha command just a command. Drag him out by your teeth if you have to. He needs to be at this meeting.

Rightio boss! I thought and turned away to go get Jared.

I got to his doorstep and phased quickly pulling on my clothes. Jared opened the door as soon as I had them on. “Sam wanted me to quote ‘drag you out by my teeth if I had to so you’d get to the meeting.’” I said.

“Of all times,” he muttered and walked into the woods with me to phase. We ran through the woods following the scent I had left to get here.

We took our places in the circle. What’s so important, boss? I asked/thought. He looked at all of us before explaining himself.

I like it. I never liked the wolves but I am starting to like them. And the only reason I didn't like them was 'cause of Jacob trying to steal Bella from Edward and the wolves always seemed to agree with that. But anyways I like it. Keep going.

((Thank you guys so much!! I like the wolves so I decided to write about them for a change. I might add in the Cullens if I can think up a good enough plot line.))

Sam’s P.O.V.

I took a deep breath to keep the excitement out of my words or thoughts rather. Emily is pregnant.

There were a few what the h’s and some what in the world’s while others where speechless. We found out yesterday, we’re extremely happy. I do want to warn you that I might not be around as often, and since Jake left with Seth and Leah, I’m putting Jared second in command for when I leave. I know you’re planning a wedding so it might not be convent for you either, and that’s why Paul is in charge after you. And I said after Jared, Paul; don’t go bossing people around so soon.

Thanks Sam. Jared thought with a wolfy smile.

Make me proud, kid. I said.

Thanks Sam. Paul agreed no smile though.

Just to let you know, you’re only next in command because you’re the next oldest, if Quil of Embry where older you’d be at the bottom of the command chain.

He didn’t say anything but just walked away, anger clearly coursing through him.

That is all, as you were. Everyone began phasing back. After Leah left with Jake, the awkwardness went away. I phased too and grabbed my shorts pulling them back on. Quil was gone as far as I could see and so was Jared. Embry was looking around to see if Quil had left yet. I felt sorry for the kid. Ever since Claire came, it was just Quil and just Embry. Not Quil and Embry, how it used to be. Embry sighed and began walking away, to do who knows what.

I ran back to my house. Emily was baking something and it smelled really, really good. I should’ve invited Embry over. I thought walking in. Emily was stirring something her back to me, she had obviously not heard me. I walked as silently as I could over to her and hugged her waist from behind.

She jumped. “Sam you scared me.” She breathed. “Did you tell the pack?” She asked leaning her head back to look up at me.

“Yeah.” I said and leaned down to kiss her forehead.

“Good.” She said and leaned back up to continue stirring.

“What are you making?” I asked.

“The dessert for our dinner, it’s almost done.” She added.

“It smells really good,” I told her and kissed the top of her head.

“Thanks,” she said and then put what she was stirring into a pan and into the oven. She got out two plates and some utensils. “Can you set the table?”

"Yeah,” I said. I went and guessed on where the utensils went. I walked into our bedroom and pulled on a shirt since I hadn’t been wearing one when I had come in. The cool cloth felt unusual on my skin since it was summer and I usually didn’t where a shirt.

In the two minutes it had taken me to walk to our bedroom, pull on a shirt, and leave back to the kitchen/dining room Emily had finished all the food and had it set on the table. “How did you do that so fast?” I asked.

She smiled and blushed looking down shyly. “I’ve always like to cook.” She said.

“You’re really good at it and really fast at it.” I told her walking over to her to hold her hand.

She intertwined her finger through mine and sat down are hands still joined. I sat next to her. “Dig in.” She said. I didn’t have to be told twice, I began piling my plate with food, but left plenty for Emily. She always cooked in large quantities.

We ate in silence, not that we had much to talk about. I finished my third helping and decided that was all I needed. Emily was on her second helping, and looked up at me when I did not refill my plate. “Are you sure you ate enough?” She asked. She was always concerned the pack ate enough, even Jake’s pack although Leah never came around for obvious reasons.

“I’m fine, hun.” I said. “It was really good, you’re an incredible cook.” I added.

She beamed “Thank you.” She said and continued eating.

Did not see that coming!!

write more please! Emily pregnant. It probably has happened before but how will it effect her? Hmm... I love it!

Brady has no e in it. But yeah that is true. And it is a good plot so far.

P.P.O.V.

I found a jewelry shop after driving for an hour and a half. I walked up to the lady at the counter. “Hello. Is there something I can help you with?” she asked in a bored tone.

I leaned against the counter the cool glass of the display case extremely cold against my warm skin. “Um, yeah. I want to propose to my girlfriend, and I need a ring.” I said.

She nodded thoughtfully and went to the back of the store coming back a few minutes later with a small black box. She began explaining the carrots and stuff. Why would I care about vegetables? She told me the price which was lower than I had expected, not that I was complaining. “Would you like a bag?” she asked.

“No, I’ll save a tree.” I said with a grin picking the box up off the counter and putting it into my pocket.

“Technically you’re saving a dead dinosaur, but whatever.” She said and began doing something with her cell phone.

I walked out of the store and the bell dinged making my leaving known. I got back into the car and began driving to the Black’s house.

I arrived a while later. I walked into their house, since I practically lived there I didn’t bother to knock, and incase Billy was the only one home. “Rachel!” I called. “Rachel are you home?”

“Shut-up,” Jacob muttered from the couch.

“Friendly today aren’t we?” I asked sarcastically.

“I said shut-up.” He growled, obviously not in a good mood. The Cullen’s might’ve been on a hunting trip and he couldn’t see Nessie.

“Oh grrrrrr, I’m so scared.” I said.

He stood up and punched me hard. My world spun for a second, I had to give it to the kid, he was a good fighter. He gave me a bloody nose, but he hadn’t broken it. Give it a few minutes and all that would be left was dried blood on my shirt. I went into their kitchen to find something to wipe the blood up with. I found some paper towel and cleaned myself up.

“Oh, and Rachel isn’t home.” Jacob said. “Felt like informing you.”

“When will she be?” I asked throwing away the paper towel.

“Fifteen minutes.” He said.

“I’m going to wait for her outside.” I said.

“Good,” he mumbled.

I opened the front door and sat down on the wheel-chair ramp.

Nice choice in having something happen to paul, Jared, and Sam.

Thanks again. Yeah, I was thinking, wait a second, Paul and Jared are the same age, and so are Kim and Rachel practically, so why should one be engaged and not the other?

Q.P.O.V.

“I’m back, Claire-Bear!” I called.

She was sitting on the couch with a scarp-book on her lap. She was still on the first page of it studying the pictures.

“What are you looking at?” I asked sitting next to her.

She scooted next to me so the scrap-book was partially on my lap. “Pictures, from when I was little.”

“Oh, goodness.” I said looking at the pictures from Claire’s third birthday. “She made a scrap-book?” We were, thankfully, not on the pictures where Claire tried her play make-up on me.

“Yup.” She said. “The weird thing is that you’re in most of the pictures. How long have we been… Imprinted?”

“Since you were 2 ½ and I was 14,” I said.

“Wow.” She said.

She began to flip the page and I put my hand down so she couldn’t. She looked up at me questioningly. “You don’t want to see those pictures, why don’t we look at your first day of kindergarten?” I asked and took the scrap-book flipping towards the back.

“No, I want to see it.” She said and I couldn’t refuse so I handed it back to her.

She flipped back to the spot where she left off and let out a small giggle. “Did I do that to you?”

I nodded not meeting her gaze. “And you let me?”

I nodded again. “You must’ve really loved me.”

“I do love you, with all my heart.” I said softly.

Awwww...I'm sitting here awwing to myself and getting a really strange look off my sister Haha

E.P.O.V.

I knocked on Quil’s front door. His mom answered the door, “Hello Embry, haven’t seen you around in a while.”

“Hello, I was wondering, is Quil there?”

“No, he’s at Claire’s house, would you like to come in? I just baked some cookies.”

“No thanks, I need to be getting home.” I said.

“Okay, well, you know you’re welcome whenever you want to come over, Quil or no Quil.”

“I know; thanks.” I said.

She looked at me for a long moment mumbled something about growth spurts and closed the door.

I sat down on the porch to wait. And then I saw her.

That was the second I understood Imprinting. I stood up and ran out into the middle of the road to catch up with the seven-year old on the bright pink bicycle.

Ok...so I told you I was awwing on that last bit...well I'm majorly Awwing now <3 <3 <3 <3

Haha, yeah, I thought Embry needed someone too.

Of course he does..they all deserve someone

Jacob’s P.O.V.

I rang the door-bell three times without pausing. Those leeches better get the door before I tear it down. I thought waiting for someone to open the door.

“Hey, doc.” I said when Carlisle opened the door. “Is Nessie here?”

“Yeah, come in, Jacob.” He said politely. I didn’t have to be told twice and pushed past him. I immediately spotted her on the couch; her bronze hair was now to her waist.

“Jacob!” She exclaimed in her musical voice.

“Nessie,” I said bending down and hugging her tightly. She stood up and hugged me back; she put her cool hand against my forehead.

Several images of their hunting trip flashed through my head ending with her on top of a dead mountain lion. She smiled at me a question in her eyes, was I happy?

“That’s amazing Nessie,” I told her. Her smile widened to a grin and she hugged me again.

Someone cleared their throat loudly and Nessie turned around. “Jacob.” Edward said his voice hard.

“Edward.” I returned, equally as hard.

“Jake!” Said a familiar voice that took me back to summer days and warm soda in a paper bag.

“Bells!” I said. She came around Edward and I took an involuntary step back. No matter how many times I saw her this way, I couldn’t take it. I stepped forward again to hug her. “How are you doing?”

“I’m good.” She said. “You?”

“I’m good too, just came to see Ne-” I corrected myself “Renesme.”

“Isn’t that what you’re always here for?” She laughed.

“Yeah, I suppose it is.”
