Nessie’s P.O.V.

I coughed once, twice and fell back on my pillow. Colds majorly stink. I curled up as I heard my family coming back. Carlisle would probably be coming to check on me with daddy and mommy and Esme would probably be fixing me more soup.

I heard daddy “I said he can’t.”

Mommy: “Please.”

Daddy: “We get to see her first.”

I sat up as best I could when they came in. First daddy, then mommy, then grandpa. Daddy kneeled next to me “Are you feeling okay, sweetheart?”

“Yes daddy.” I told him as he stroked my hair.

“Hi sweetie.” Mommy said.

“Hi Mommy.”

Carlisle took the place of Edward. He listened to my heartbeat and then looked in my mouth and nose. “Everything looks okay, she seems to be coming along quite nicely.”

Daddy gave one nod. “Sweetheart, we’ve got a visitor for you.”

He and mommy and grandpa left the room. In came Jake.

“Jake!” I said sitting up straighter.

“Hey hunny.” He said sitting down on the edge of my bed and hugging me. “Are you ok?” He asked.

I nodded and kissed him. I felt him hug me again and then he pulled away. “No, your sick. I’m already on strict rules I don’t want to get kicked out.” He said shaking his head.

I sighed and flopped back on the pillows. “We should just run away and elope. I’m nineteen so it wouldn’t be illegal.” I said.

“You’ve got a evil mind, but no. I really don’t want to get killed by your dad.”

“You won’t get killed I’m his little princess and he wouldn’t dare kill the one thing I love most in the world.” I said making a fake crown with my fingers above my head.

Jared’s P.O.V.

“Chief, sir, Chief.” I said to Sam as he hung up from telling me Emily just had her babies.

So there went my best man, and Emily’s matron of honor. Oh well. At least that’s what I though. Kim was hectic.

“What are we going to do?” she asked herself more than me running around with me following her.

“Hunny calm down.” I said for umpteenth time.

She ran around some more. “What on earth are we going to do?”

This time I grabbed her arm. She tried to shake me off but then looked at me “What?” she snapped.

“Come here.” I said I led her to the kitchen where I made her sit down on a stool. I massaged her shoulders slowly. “What’s with girls and big weddings anyways? We can always grab Seth and go elope in Vegas. Just because two people are missing doesn’t make this a complete disaster.”

“You’re right.” She said leaning against me. “Eloping in Vegas sounds really amazing but my mom would kill me.”

I shrugged remembered she couldn’t she that and said: “I shrugged.”

“I don’t know. I suppose we could, and then race back in time to catch the plane to our honeymoon.”

“Sounds like a plan to me.”

Sam’s P.O.V.

“You’re lunch, m’lady.” I said handing Emily a paper sack with a hamburger, fries, and a coke in it.

“Thank you, hunny.” She said opening it up smiling. I sit my paper sack on the couch/bed. I walk over to our two beautiful babies.

“Time for lunch.” I coo to them. I picked up Samantha gently and gave her a bottle. I gently bounced her around the room while she drank, stopping at the door right when someone knocked. I shifted Samantha so I could open the door. In came Seth. “Aw, she’s so cute. What’s her name?”

“This is Samantha.” I told him. “What brings you here I haven’t gotten around to calling Sue yet.”

“Oh, I was in the neighborhood and I decided to stop by.” Seth said.

I started at him like he’d gone loopy. “Well, you see Leah found this guy collapsed on the beach so I helped her get him here. And just about the time we got here Jake was coming to see you guys so I decided to stop by and say hello.”

“Wait, if you’re here… Where’s Jake?” I asked.

“He’s gone to see Nessie he’ll probably be back in about an hour or so.” He told me.

“Oh, ok then.” Samantha had finished her bottle so I put the bottle away. I grabbed a burp cloth from a baby bag Emily had made me bring and put it on my shoulder. I gently patted Samantha’s back.

“So, where’s number two?” Seth asked looking around the room. “Oh no, Sam. You lost him already?”

“No, he’s in the nursery. This little one gave us some trouble with her breathing but she’s 110% now.” I explained.

“Oh.” He said. “Hey Emily congratulations!”

She set down her lunch on the nightstand. “Come here, Seth, I don’t bite.” I hadn’t realized it but he was still standing by the door.

“Oh no. I’m just popping in. Leah doesn’t know I’m here; she thinks I’m going to get lunch so I better get on that. Bye!” He said and left.

“He always was the odd one.” Emily said.

P.P.O.V.

“Rachel.” I said. “Rach. Rachel, come here. Rach, please. Rachel, slow down. Rachel, stop.”

She had been doing nothing but wedding planning for the last three days. “Oh, Paul, good there you are.” She said spinning around with two paper plates in each hand on top of which had two different slices of cake. “Try these would you?”

“Rach, slow down. Relax for a second.”

“I am relaxed, hunny.” She said sincerely. “Now try these!” She said pressing the plates in my hand.

I sighed and sat down at the kitchen table. The first slice tasted sweet and had creamy icing. The second one was chocolaty with sugary frosting. I liked the first one better so I brought the plate over to her. “I like this one better.”

“Oh, good that’s another thing of my list.” Just as she was about to turn I grabbed her arm.

“Wait. If I get to choose something for you, you have to choose something for me.” I told her.

“What?” She asked.

“Let me get it. I’ll be right back.” I walked up to my room and grabbed my C.D. player and two C.D.s. “Which song, can you dance to better?”

I plugged in the C.D. player and inserted one of the C.D.s. I walked over to her and put one hand on her waist and with the other I held her hand. The song came on and we danced in slow circles across the kitchen.

Rachel buried her head in my chest “I love you so much.”

Seth’s P.O.V.

I was back home after Leah let me go. She wanted her truck back tomorrow which may or may not happen. Jared had called me asking me to be a witness when him and Kim go to Vegas to secretly get married. I thought he was kidding so stupid me said yes. He just called saying he had the plane tickets and to meet at Seattle airport in an hour.

I flung open my suit case and started throwing clothes in. He said I was going to have to stay the weekend and he had a suit for my witnessing. I threw in three pairs of jeans three t-shirts and a sweater. I’d never been to Vegas or anywhere near Vegas so I didn’t know what type of weather they had there.

I put in a comb and a toothbrush and some toothpaste into a small bag and threw it into the suitcase. I decided to take a book too, so I grabbed my reading book from school.

I decided I was packed so I closed the suitcase and started to the door. I hugged my mom and told her it was secret pack business, and not to worry and ran out the door.

The drive to the airport felt long, but it only took 30 minutes. I walked through the airport doors and smack into Jared. “Sorry.” I said.

“Hey kid.” He said and ruffled my hair. “Thanks for coming.”

“Anytime, anytime. But Leah’s going to be mad I don’t return her precious truck.”

“She’ll live.” He answered simply leading Kim and me towards security.

“Congrats Kim, by the way.” I said.

“Thank you, Seth. I know it was a bit last minute.” She said apologetically.

“Oh, no problem. Happens all the time.” I said.

“You get called to witness weddings in Vegas all the time?” Jared asked as we walked through security.

“No, I mean a lot of weird things happen to me all the time.” I said pulling my shoes back on and grabbing my suitcase.

We boarded the plane and stowed our luggage away. Kim, Jared, and I were packed into a three-person aisle. “So what made you guys decide to get married in Vegas?”

“Too much stress with the real wedding.” Jared explained. “You’re lucky you don’t have to plan a wedding.”

I sighed. “Yeah I guess I am.” And turned to look out the window.

OMG!!! I love it!! YOu are such a good writer Namine! You can make a lot of money off of a book like this! But you would have to talk to Stephene first.

L.P.O.V.

I woke up on a couch/bed thing in Sam's room. He was awake. "Oh my goodness." I breathed running over to his side.

"Hey Stranger." He grinned weakly.

"What happened?" I asked sitting down on the edge of the bed.

"Nobody really has a rhyme or reason for it, but I was born with fainting spells. I haven't had one for years so everyone thought I out-grew it. Guess not." He laughed.

I tried to laugh too but I couldn't bring myself to it. I took his hand and spread out his fingers on top of my palm. "So how long till you're out?" I asked as he played with my fingers.

"Tomorrow morning. They gotta make sure I don't pass out again." He said resting our hands on his chest. "You know they didn't ban me from going to the cafiteria. I know it be a crappy first date but, hey."

I laughed. "It'd be an amazing first date." I said then realized he said date. "Wait date? You like me?"

"Of course." He laughed. "Now come on." He said sitting up.

We walked down to the cafeitiria. We sat eating in silence, but despite not talking I felt it was the best conversation I ever had.

Jacob’s P.O.V.
After ten seconds of make-out with Ness I got kicked out of the cottage until further notice. In light of that I decided to go to the hospital where I found out that Sam, Emily, and the munchkins had checked out and went back home. I went to their house to, luckily, find them.
Sam let me in telling me to shut-up and sneak because Emily was taking a nap. Like I had been loud in the first place. I got to see the babies, they were cute in a weird way, not that I’d ever admit that.
Since the babies’ where taking the guest room as the nursery I had the lucky spot of the couch as my bed. Not saying that couches aren’t great but their couch is lumpy and filled with pointy springs.
I set my bag of possessions behind the couch so no one would steal them and flopped back on it wincing when a spring hit my spinal column. Sam laughed and took the girl rug rat to the kitchen to feed her a bottle. Feeding a kid plastic is cruel and unusual punishment, even for Sam.
I got up to question it but just then Emily came stumbling in sleepily. Apparently I look a lot like Sam ‘cause she came over to me gave me a big hug and said: “Morning, love.”
“Um, no, I do believe my name is Jacob.” I said awkwardly.
Her eyes snapped opened and she turned bright red as she let go of me. “Um, sorry.” She said and wandered over to Sam.
