Clash Of The Elves (X)

"I-I-I don't know how to reverse it..." i said. i was getting scared. Drizz't was right behind me too...

"Use this," I handed her a bag.

I had to think....Even as my mind wanted to just fold over and cry. I looked at dea who had closed her eyes. Her breathing seemed to be hard and almost forced. I looked up at Drizz't. "You do it."

I stood there watching. I felt terrible.

I made a small incision in her arm and placed the contents of the bag on it. They immediately went into the bloodstream and the cut closed.

I looked at Ara. "Ara, i swear i didn't know...."

I held dea as her breathing became just a little slower. "Mama....." She looked up at me. Her eyes were different. I moved the hair out of her face "Sweety it's alright. Your going to be alright." I looked at Drizz't hoping he would help. Any words...anything would be better then this. I heard what she said...she wouldn't have done this...not to andea. She loved her as much as I did. She wouldn't....I nodded to her "I know."

"She'll be alright."

I sighed in relief. "Thank goodness..." I sat down and put my head in my knees. Just then the bag of my tree weed dropped out of my bag. I had forgotten i put it in there when i heard Dea moving around in my hut before.

I smiled at him a little until I saw the tree weed "Mel....You never worked with tree weed before....Why do you have it in your bag?" I got up with andea as her breathing was starting to come back to normal. Out of nowhere men dropped from the trees and as quickly as a blink Melda was gone. I looked around but couldn't find her anywhere "Mel?.....MEL!" I yelled.

"Stop." I grabbed her arm. "They are from the Dark City. A patrol. She will be held prisoner, but will be treated well."

I looked at him "How could she do this to Andea...She's never worked with tree weed...." I hugged Andea to me as she sucked her thumb like usual.

As i was tied to a post i screamed and yelled. "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!" I protested. They didn't say anything. They did however take my katana from me, my bag, and covered my mouth with cloth to shut me up. I tear fell down my cheek. I was now a prisoner, on a false charge. I was one of the best fighters.... my village wouldn't be happy.

"It's possible that whoever raped you switched her bags."

I shook my head "I don't know...."

"You know her better than me." I shrugged.

It just didn't add up....Something was missing...I looked at the now asleep Andea. Her breathing is back to normal and she looks much better. "Drizz't....thank you for saving my baby." I kissed his cheek.

"Think nothing of it." I said simply.

Andea woke up long enough to put her hands out for Drizz't to take her and waited til he ook her before falling back to sleep with her thumb in her mouth. She liked him...but what about him would she like and trust so easily?

I picked up the small girl. "Shall I walk you home?" I asked.

I smiled and nodded "Please?" I kissed Andea on thehead as she slept quitly while sucking her thumb. "I don't think I could walk back while holding her. I'll be lucky to make it home now." I smiled weakly.

"Lead the way." I told her.

I smiled and started to walk towards home. Andea was dreaming. I could hear her mumble my name and Mel's. One thing that did shock me was she mumbled Drizz't also. I smiled at him "She likes you. I'm surprized."

I shrugged. "If she knows about me, then I'm not."

I shook my head "She usually doesn't take to new people very well. She's usually very shy and I'm lucky to get her to look at someone. I'm glad she found you though...Who knows what would have happened to me if you didn't show up." I slowed to meet his pace. Andea was still sleeping and went to mumbling Drizz't and Mama...and I think she also said love. That was odd. I stroked her head a little as we walked.
