Clash Of The Elves (X)

"I was cast out of the city for freeing a light elf maiden from the prison. She'd done nothing wrong. She was captured as a prisoner of war on light elf territory. They treated her poorly, so I set her free. I'm not allowed back in the city." I continued walking.

I was shocked he said that. "Anyway. Thanks for helping me and Dea. I really appreshiate this." I walked with him as I heard Dea say daddy...I lowered my head. I knew what was next. Tears fell down her face in her sleep.

"I only do what I think is right." I wiped the tears from the girl's eyes. "What is her name?"

I smiled a little "Andea. I adopted her a while ago when she was really little. She thinks of me as her mother but doesn't quite get the face that she doesn't have a father. She wants one." I kissed her forehead.

"Sounds like she's telling you to settle down."

I was getting bored sitting there, my but was starting to hurt, and i was getting tired. I couldn't get out. I needed to get out. I didn't do anything. I kept thinking about Elron and little Dea.

I looked at him "Easyer said then done. She does want me to settle down but I can't seem to find someone that wants the same thing."

"Most elves don't know what they want in life. Me? I know what I want. I want this war to stop. I want to live in peace." We arrived at her house.

I sat on the rail of the porch and looked at him holding Dea. She really liked him. "All of us want this war to stop but no one knows how to. I want to be able to walk around with her and not have to worry about people hurting her. She loves the forest and the things it. Even if the things are mean. She loves to rome out into it but I have to go with her or something will hurt her." I lowered my head a tad as my face showed how sad I was. For some reason I wanted to be in Andea's place and be in his arms...I wanted to be close to him....

"If you want, you can bring her over to my place. The ruins have plenty of secrets to find and are completely safe. I've made sure of that." I layed her down on the bed. Funny how years of hardness can be broken by a cute little face.

I slowly woke up. More sore then ever. The guards were still at the opening of the hut. I tried to whimper, but i knew that would do no good.

I smiled at him "I would really love that. Then she could move around on her own." I sat down on the bed next to Andea and stroked her cheek. She really was amazing. For such a little girl. I looked up at him "Thank you. You have no idea how much this means to me."

I shrugged. "Do you want me to leave or stay here and watch over you tonight? There's no telling if he'll come back."

I nodded "Stay. I'd rather her not be hurt if I go missing." I covered her up and walked outside to the railing again and looked out into the night. Tears fell down my face.

I walked outside. "You're crying." I looked at her. "Why?"

I wiped the tears off with the back on my hand "Over many things..." I let my hair hide my face. I never liked people to see me crying.

"Such as?" I inquired.

I shook my head "Everything. The war, Mel, Dea, Whoever hurt me is still out there and could have kill her...I just want everthing to be normal and no fighting for Andea's sake." I didn't dare look at him. I didn't want him to see me cry.

"All we can do is wait, hope, and keep fighting to make it stop." I stood next to her, looking out at the landscape.

I nodded "I know but sometimes I just wish it would stop now. Without anyone else dying..." I moved my hair back behind my ears and looked out into the night again.

"Everyone dies eventually." I leaned against the railing and crossed my arms.

I lowered my head into my arms "I know but I don't like seeing my friends and family dying infront of me. Not like that when they have much to live for."

"At least they die fighting for what they believe in." I didn't move closer, but I didn't push away eithr.

I looked up and wiped the tears off of my face. "It isn't right. It's like sending Andea out into the battle field and telling her to fight for what she belives in. It doesn't work. It's murder." I could hear Andea start to wine a little and mumble "mama...." and "Daddy...." That is the first time I've ever heard her say the word daddy around me since she was young. I wasn't sure what to do. I walked back inside and kissed her head "It's alright baby. Mama's here." I wispered to her.

I walked after her. "They choose to fight. No one makes them. It's not right that they fight over something that happened so long ago, but it's reality."
