Clash Of The Elves (X)

I was on my hands and knees while the tears fell down my face. My chest was hurting worse. I didn't understand. I started to cough up blood. Why I was doing that I will never know but I did know that something was causing it....I had never experienced love before or even had my heart broken so this pain...I didn't even know it was that. I staggered my way to my feet and got back up on Spirit. We walked slowly back home. She was tired and I couldn't see where I was going. I was crying much to hard.

This was exactly what happened the first time. I cared about her and broke her heart. She died because of me. Aeowynn...

We didn't even make it to the house before I fell off onto the ground and blacked out. This was not the usual pain. I laid on the ground and dreamed peacefully. Spirit neighed a few times but laid down next to me and kept watch over me.

I let myself drift off into the blackness around me...

I woke up hours later to hearing Andea screaming at the top of her lungs. I jumped on Spirit and ran to the house. I jumped off of Spirit and ran into the house. Dea was crying on the floor as Garou was watching all around her. I picked her up "Shhhh Dea. What's wrong sweety?" I touched her forehead...She was a little hot....Oh god please not again... I looked around for a thermometer.

I sat there in the darkness while it consumed my heart, my soul, my very being.

I walked outside to Drizz't dragon "Look Andea needs him right now....Go find Drizz't please? and hurry!" I held Andea's head to me and walked back inside to find something to take her tempature.

Gaidin called to me on our link. Andea was dying. It looked like I didn't have a choice. I told him to come get me. He could fly much faster than I could run. When he got there, I jumped on his back and we sped off towards the house.

I found the thermometer and checked her temp. She was running a temp. and a high one at that. Andea was crying. What was going on with her. I looked around for drizz't. He was still nowhere to be found. I sighed and went to lay dea back down in my bed.

I jumped of Gaidin and walked into the house. "What's wrong with her?" I demanded.

I was worried but I didn't show it. I laid her down and put a cold wash cloth on her forehead. "Were in here." I yelled to Drizz't. I knew he was in here but I couldn't hear him. I had Dea drink and tryed to get her to take something to knock the fever out.

"What's wrong?" I asked again.

I shook my head "I don't know. She's running a high tempeture."

The wound healed itself easily. "Thank you," I whispered to her as I stood up and kissed her on the cheek. I wasn't completely at ease even now when all was better. I knew that this peace and serenity would not last, and that killed my joy.

I looked at him."whats wrong?" i asked. I was hoping he and i could have some time together, but i knew he would run off soon.

I sighed. "Gaidin?" He bit his tounge and let a bit of blood flow into a cup. I cut my hand and did the same with mine, then added crushed arrowroot and hemlock leaves. "Give her this, but slowly. It's very potent."

I looked up at him and nodded "Alright..." I did as he said and gave it to Andea slowly. After a little she refused to drink any more. She started to fight me and move her head a lot.

"What she had is more than enough. And she's moving because it's about the most disgusting thing ever created." A little bit of the hardness left my eyes.

I sighed and looked up at him "Thank you...." I put the stuff down and stroked Andea's cheek. "You'll be alright sweety." Andea opened her eyes a little and looked around "Daddy...." She wispered.

"I'm not..." I started, but couldn't finish the sentence.

Andea opened her eyes a little more and put her hand up for him "Daddy..." Her voice was a lot more urgent and wanted him to come sit next to her.

"Its okay darling," I sat down and held her to me.

Andea relaxed in his arms and I crawled up onto the bed next to them and stroked her cheek. She smiled at us "Family." Her eyes twinkled

I sighed. What was I going to do with her?

I looked up at Drizz't and saw he didn't like that idea to much. "Dea sweety....we arn't a family...just friends." Andea's eyes started to tear up but she shook her head yes anyway.
