What about genres for the story section? Like the Rp section, have them grouped by what they are about.

The Hidden Passage has been removed because the Forum is about the HON books and not playing games, and many people posted only in the Games section.

It was starting to get out of hand because people started spamming there a lot after the CB was gone.

And that is why it has been removed. Also the site is about the books, and some people weren't even posting in the books section at all. So for now it's gone. If the site owner decides to bring it back then thats up to her.

not meaning to be rude or anything and i do know that the forum is for the HON books but having had a heap of experience with forums (i have my own) i think games are a great way to get to know other people on the forum and talk about OTHER common interests like i have only been apart of this forum for about a week or so just before it changed over and i found i was getting to know people a heap quicker when i was playing the games

and just a suggestion, if people are abusing the games section (ONLY posting in that section) why not give them a warning and if it continues temporarily ban them or something for like a week or so and that way your only keeping the people around that are interested in talking about the books

also about the spamming of them sometimes people are on late or early at night and theres nothing to do .. all the topics may have been read and what not so playing a game with them could just be passing time... if you dont want that maybe dont allow normal members to create topics so you can keep an eye on the types of games being played ie. maybe have games dedicated to the books like ending starting names of all things HON or something like that... if your interested i have heaps of ideas along those lines so PM me

What if you brought back the games, but they could only be about the House Of Night? I'm part of another forum about another series, and there they have games about the series. We could have like HoN Vending Machine and the characters alphabet. That would be fun games, and we would still talk about the series.

Yeah I think we should include HoN related games. Then to play the games people have to read the books! And then people can be explain and talk about the books at the same time.

And do we have to get rid of the entire Hidden Passage section? I know it's supposed to be mostly about the HoN but we have the writing section thingy right? Maybe add like the Help and Advice Section? I mean it won't like compeletely take over the stie but we can like help each other out...

Right now everything there is gone. Parts might be brought back, but we are trying to avoid drama. The Help and advice section was being spammed with inappropriate topics and we must discuss weather or not any of it should come back, and if so, when.

I don't know if you all already have that in your moderator section, just suggesting. (because several sites ive gone to doesn't have this).

Well, this site has a few main sections. But if you all want to have more, so that the forum can be better taken care of and all that, you all can have more sections.

So this is how it goes:
Split the moderators into the number of sections on this site. ( the big headings, like RP/ literature club etc).

Then, assign a few admins (if you all happen to have a lot of admins) to each section. These admins will be the leaders of the section. Any problem that the mods face, they will report to these few admins.

These admins will consolidate the problems that needs to be addressed and post it where only the admins can see. Then they will do the discussing and return to the mods with the finalized decisions.

This way, it's easier since there's a spread out of jobs, it won't mess up the flow.

(last time, when i was an admin on this site (can't remember the name, it was sold away to someone else so i left), we ran by this method and it was really effective. We had close to a million visitors. We had only 5 admins (one for each section), but a lot of mods to tend to each section. So i'm just suggesting so that the board can be a better place for everyone)

Thats always how it's been run. Since it was created thats the way it was. Raschels 3 accounts have their own thing because she had to edit the permissions on them. The High Priestess, High Priestess in Training, High Council of Nyx, Disciples of Nyx, Professors, and Trackers all have their sections and every one knows what they are to do.
