heath????

Heath isn't coming back. We have a completely different character whom just so happens to have Heath's recycled soul. That is what I was trying to say in the big post above, but I don't think too many people are reading it. Might be my constant dissing ad ranting of all things Heath that drives them off.

Thats true but its heaths essence so its actualy still heath. And hes going to go after Z and fall in love with her and all that stuff AGAIN lol

I do not consider Zoey and A-ya the same (obviously contradicting the obsessed fallen immortal) for reasons I believe I have already explain, so again I do not consider Heath and Aurox the same. I do not think Heath's obsessive feelings for Zoey will have as much influence on Aurox as people suspect, especially if the Casts remain to be unpredictable (for the most part). But these are my observations on the matter, I could be wrong but I think my theories are more interesting and true to the genre. *crosses fingers*

yes wazzuman they are, however it does seem that the series is moving back into another love triangle, but involving Aurox in Heath's place, in saying that nyx did say to heath that all of his memories and past experiences would be forgotten if he chose to be reborn, consiquently i feel that Aurox will not share Heath's feelings about Zoey.

There is one other thing we should consider: the difference between Aurox and Heath. Depending on how the whole soul thing works I seriously doubt that Heath will participate directly anymore. Let's rewind back to what happened when Zoey's soul recognised Kalona. He might change allegiances, he might be torn in indecision, or it might just make him hesitate. Nyx herself said that she can only support Heath's soul if as Aurox, he follows her path, implying that though Heath himself would choose paths of Light as someone else he may not make those same choices. While Heath's soul will define him, Aurox is still someone comletely different, who sees the world different, and therefore can/will make decisions of his own that Heath would not have made.

What I am saying is: while Aurox may on occasion do something Heath-like or experience Heath's old emotions, he is also a character in his own. A character that, for the moment, we know nothing about. That's how I will be treating him, just as I'd consider Zoey and A-ya two different characters. I honestly have no clue what will happen but Aurox will probably be a more a much more interesting character to me than Heath could ever have been.

See, this is where I see things being a little...odd. Yes Heath and Zoey have a connection, but the authors pretty much made it out to be their history together. Do we really know what makes him special to her other than they knew each other for almost their entire lives? My point was, that although Jack may not have a strong connection to Zoey, he does have a strong connection to Nyx and Light. Heath however does not, and the purpose of this is to put in a soul is to provide Zoey with the help she needs to conquer Neferet and help defeat the evil she's brought back. Not to provide her with someone she's had a connection with. I see the reasoning for Heath being sent back is more to do with him and Zoey than saving the world because of that said connection adding drama and the constant love triangle we've been seeing in the series.

I don't think Zoey necessarily hates Kalona either, I think she knows she's supposed to hate him, and even wants to hate him. However deep down a part of her soul, the part that is A-ya, still and will always love him. Although that part isn't exactly her, it is. It's like two sides of the same coin. As much as she wants to hate him, she cannot deny she feels an attraction to him because of A-ya. That doesn't mean she's a bad person, it is what it is.

When Nyx pretty much said he had to choose Light over Darkness for her to help him, I would think that the connection Jack has to Nyx and Light would be better than Heath's connection to Zoey. As the real mission is to defeat Darkness. So to me it's almost like Nyx may not believe that the goodness of Jack's soul and his connection to her and Light might not be good enough, but the connection between Heath and Zoey is better. The only reason Heath chose Light in the first place was because of Zoey.

I get that you want to treat this new guy as a separate character, but when taking into account a lot of views on reincarnation and not just the Native American point of view, a lot of others believe that there's a bit of that life that carries over to the next. We saw it with Zoey and A-ya. Yes, they're two different people, but they have the same soul, the same essence that makes them who they are. All we know about A-ya as a person was how she came to be and her story with Kalona. That's not saying a whole lot about her. Not really enough to say she was completely different. She may have been like the Zoey she is now, or she may not have been. We simply don't know. A-ya and Zoey are the same, but also different. Same because the soul is the same, different because the experience and the purpose are different. Souls are reincarnated for a reason, mostly to learn something we didn't from our previous life. With that said, maybe A-ya was to trap Kalona and save the world as the Cherokee saw it, but now the threat is much greater than Kalona, which is why A-ya's soul is back in Zoey.

I think that Aurox won't have Heath's memories, but I think the Casts will make it so she recognizes his soul. Many people also believe that although the person's appearance may not be familiar our souls recognize theirs. Something kind of like meeting someone for the first time and you could swear you've known them from somewhere, but in reality have never met before.

Heath is gona come bak! He must come bak some time because of Zoey.

i would like for him to come back but you never know.

I think that Heath will come back, Neferet will treat him like she did Kalona and then he will see Zoey, some type of fight will happen, they look in each others eyes and re-spark the feelings from Heaths past life.

I dunno, i would love for him to be in the next book, but that could just confuse Zoey. I kind of like when she only has one boyfriend. It seems better and easier. That just my feelings and i think heath would ruin the calm and then Neferet would come and take over mu ha ha ha ha

I honestly don't think she's any better off with this one "boyfriend" then when she had three, and I'm implying more than some supernatural connection between immortal blood here. And Heath, what more is there to say. If he as himself ever came back I'm positive it wouldn't be in Zoey's best interests. Whatever it is they had, she needs to move past it not just so she can focus on her mission but so she can focus on her future.

^ It's not above Heath to get in Zoey's way when she has higher priorities. He interfere when she was trying to deal with Aphrodite and Stevie Rae, and decided to drop by the tunnels in the middle of a crisis despite her warnings (a large scar across Z's chest as a reminder), all for an obviously unhealthy obsession. Some people might call it love, I call it a bad combination of stupidity, naivity and ignorance.

but what i was meaning before was that i think he may come back from heaven or wherever he is in a diff body to mess up her life again.

I know a lot of people do not like Heath. but i do he is the only human besides Aprodite that is in this crazy world of Vampires and Fallen angels and such, but he is a brave guy, and i love him for that and i am glad he will be coming back

Heath was not brave. Bravery is about overcoming fear but he didn't even recognise the danger he was in until it was too late. He was playing the tough guy, but in truth he was utterly clueless, at least from my perspective. I have deep respect for strong, brave characters but I did not find one in Heath..

^That's fine you can think that way but i think he was a brave guy, especialy when he knew he was going to die by Kalona, he didn't cry or plead or anything he went in bravly.
