Okay...Again now I don't

[Hey, do join the poetry competition thread I've started (it's under competitons).]

Oh lol. it's okay. There's no need for sympathy or empathy or whatever it is. I'm fine. Because I wrote it out for the world to see, I'm back to the me that people around loves -- the happy, hyper me. It's okay if I emo alone, it's okay if no one sees my tears, but it's definitely not okay if people don't see me smile. It's the happiness that I want to bring to the world when I'm facing them. But behind this screen, I can be who i want to be, what I want to be, no lies, no masquerades. The darker it is, the more angst that is packed in each line, the more likely that I can live on.

I'm not gonna hold back
Standing on my own feet
That's my goal

I'm lazy and confused a lot
But that will soon change

Nice and short. It read like both a family and romance poem. Family for second last stanza, it sounded like a mother was trying too hard to help her child, but her child wants to be independent. Romance for I guess that's the general idea? The last stanza 'I don't need you' really feels like a romance-based line. Somehow~

But it's nice all in all... Just a little too optimistic for the me now...

I've only got one line left in my head 'I don't want to be alone'...

Alone

I don't wanna be alone
But it seems that
I have been put there by fate

You didn't want to hurt me
But, of course,
I forced you too

Is that what you want to say to me?
Do you think I'll believe it?
It doesn't seem to solve anything.

And I'll always be alone.

Oh wow... that's sorta cool... Riding on my 'i don't want to be alone'? n1 n1

That Place

I want to go to a place
Where no one knows my name
To walk in a gigantic crowd
Far away from you

I want to leave behind
You and your memories
To go somewhere far away
Where no one knows my name

Maybe I won't remember
I will finally forget
What has tortured me
and burned me for so long


See-Through

Have you ever talked to someone
And realized they can't see you
So you sit and wait and wait and wait
For them to see you for who you are

You hide behind half-truths and lies
Propaganda if you will
And you have not a shred of life
Behind them

Behind the lies is nothingness
You are nothing
And you are invisible
You are see-through


Deep Blue

You are pulled and pushed
Deeper you plunge
There is nothing on the surface
To help you breathe

But, oddly, you smile, peaceful
As you descend
Deeper with every second
To your------

Borderline

I am on one side of a big white line
The people that I've known are
Standing on the other side
They walk forward slowly
but run faster as the time goes

They are changing in front of me
But I'm stuck, rooted to my place
Rooted to here, where I've stood
Stood still for way to long and now...

Time

I'm running out; I know it
Please turn the hourglass
Just make it stop now

Or rewind it too
Make it go back
I could fix it
I would fix it all.




Over-Zealous

I'll give it all I have
For this single shot
Everything I have
Every single spark

But will I truly make it
Or will I be left in the dust
Left to pick up the tiny
Minuscule pieces of my heart

I've poured blood
Sweat and tears
Into this one shot
But will my feet fail

I get anxious and jittery
I'm constantly moving about
Will all this crap work out
Or will I just drown miserably

I guess we'll see won't we ;]

For It

Are you ready for me
Because I'm coming out

I'm going to shoot up
Out into the dark night

And make you think
That the sun just rose

My mind is telling me
"Stop."

But my heart is shouting
"Go!!"

So my mind replies,
"Please stop."

Then my heart is all like,
"Umm...Why are you still not moving? Go, Silly Goose."

But my mind starts to get a bit feisty (well, almost),
"Honey, I'm getting a bit angry. Make it stop talking...Please."

And OHMIGOODNESS, that doesn't go well with my heart
...So, yeah. It basically explodes.

Can that even be considered poetry? rofl






I'm feeling confused right now so how about something along the lines of this...


When left to choose
Between Me or Them
I always choose
Them

Today I want
To Choose Me
but it seems that
I can't

It's not the right thing



It's like you're faced with two choices.
One for you
or
One everyone else
and you know that you should probably put everyone's happiness in front of your's. But you really really don't want too.

Lemme try again.


I step hesitantly towards one
Then I quickly jump back
I look at both and I scratch my head

I go to the other one and I almost--
But no. That's not the right thing
I go back and sit on the ground.

Both of them stare.

They want me to choose.
They want me to choose badly.
I know what I want.
I know what they want.

So I go
No backward glances.

This time I make decisions for myself.
Forgetting everyone is easier than it sounds. xD


It's more like a story than a poem rofl

When someone you love
Or loved more like it
Looks down on you
And tells you that
You can't do it

It hurts.

THEY betrayed YOU
And now they can't believe in you
Now they smash
Your most potent dreams
When you give it your all

It makes me sick.






Where Have You Gone?


Home is where the heart is
But you don't have a heart

I know that you yearn for it
Day after Day, you yearn

Yet nothing comes from wanting
If you do nothing to get it

Get up and get going
You can't stay here forever

Everyone is waiting on you
Or maybe they aren't

Who cares? Don't let them determine
not even a little, Who you are and will be

Why are you still sitting there
Didn't I just tell you to get up

Why aren't you moving
Why aren't you there yet

When will you learn to listen
When will you mind me

Why am I still repeating
Why won't these mistakes stop

Who knows why this is happening
Who can figure how to stop it

Because you sure can't
Because you are sitting there

Sitting there staring
Staring at the empty sky

You've stopped repeating now
Or at least you've toned it down

Even you can stop history
It's path is yours to alter

Just get up and move already
Watching you sit is making me sick

And we both are already sick enough
And we both want to sleep

You want a home, right
I do, too

You want a heart, right
I do, too

But who am I
To say anything to you

I'm just that heart you don't have
Who decided to talk back...




Motivation

I know you are scared
I know you are afraid
to take the first step
or the second
or the third

But do you see those people
miles and miles ahead are people
who took that first step
AND the second
AND the third

So why can't you?

The first one was kind of my way of asking myself that.

Motivation was kinda like the after picture. You've figured it out, do something about it. hehe.

ALSO, Motivation was also inspired by meh epic fear of Mickey D's play places when I was a wee las (and today).

Metamorphoses

When starting anew,
I can feel my cocoon
Slowly slip away

Like a snake's skin

But as soon as I'm free
Another protective layer
Seems to grow

As quickly as the first

When will I break free
From this boring
And depressing cycle

When can I breathe again

Err... i don't have the time now to read and review all of them, but i simply loved this poem:

over-zealous.

Not just because it rhymed in the last stanza, in fact, TOTALLY not because of that.

I felt it spoke of the life of students, especially when it's for their final year exams. It's like a spark on the darkness for those who have been working hard but not reaping the results. they see the light you know... holy light! Oh my god! you just became mother theresa >< Jk, but yea i seriously, totally, completely miss hearing from you, just as i do for nate.
