Chapter one: (Faiths point of view)

I was walking quietly down the halls when i heard a loud bang. the earth started to shake. i quickly ran outside. there was a plane coming striaght for the school. I ran through the school and yelled. but no one heard me or saw me. i was running evrywhere. but no matter what i couldnt get there attention. i went over to a classroom door and i coulnd open it. i screamed and the plane crashed. i woke up in could sweat. i was so scared. since last month, ive been having horrible nightmares. this time I never saved any lives. I just sat in bed looking out the window. I was shaking. My brother came in. "I heard you scream what happened?" I looked at him. "It happened again. I couldnt save them." Tears fell from my eyes, he came over. He hugged me. "its okay it just a dream." I hugged him back. "Im scared Luke im really scared." i said. "I know. Come on I made waffles." He smiled. "Okay." I smiled. I got up and strechted. Luke laughed and ruffled my hair. Come on sleepy." he headed downstairs. I laughed and followed him. I sat at the table and sipped some OJ. "Here ya go." he put the waffles down and sat at the table. I took a bite of waffles. "Yum. You should seriously open a breakfest place." i said with a full mouth of waffles. He laughed. "yea but who will be around to make sure you dont get in trouble." He asked. "I can handle myself I hope you know." I laughed. "Yea sure ya could. Last time I was gone for a while you were hype up on sugar." He said drinking some milk. "I was 12 okay. You were gone two days and It was halloween what did you expect. Im 16 now i can handle myself for a while." i laughed. "Okay if you say so." He shrugged. "I'll get Drake to watch ya." Luke was 17 and Drake was 17. "Fine. But if he uses any of my crap Ill kill him." i said. He laughed. "Okay,I needed to go see some crap anyways Ill leave tonight. Drake's coming over today so he can stay." i sighed. I acted upset that Drake was coming over but I was happy. Drake was cute and funny. When I finished i washed my dishes and went to the living room to watch tv. I ended up watching the news. "Why do you whatch such boring shows?" A voiced asked behind me. I looked it was Drake, he had shaggy black hair and bright green eyes. he had a grin on his face. "Becuase if Im going to be around you I need my brain cells." I stuck my tounge out and turned to watch the news. "Be nice Faith." Luke said from the kitchen. "Fine." i yelled. Tootsie ran in and jumped on the couch he licked my face. "Hay boy." i laughed and petted him. "Do you ever leave your dog at home?" i asked Drake petting Tootsie. "No he attracts the ladies." Drake said smiling. "You are such a jerk." I said standing up. "Well its better then being a nerd." He siad looking at me. "Well I aint a nerd so ha." i said walking over. "Oh really then whats this." he picked up a letter the counter. it was the letter saying I had a chanse to go to a great college. A huge scholarship. "No give me that." i said but I was jumping cause he held it high in the air. "Stop it you two." Luke said taking the letter he read it. "Faith why didnt you tell me." He looked at me. "Becuase Im not going. You need the money more." i looked at Drake. I was really pissed. "Faith no. you deserve to go to college." Luke siad. "Well Im not. Thanks Drake." i stormed off to my room and slammed the door shut. I sat on my bed and tears fell. I heard a knock on my door. "GO AWAY!" i yelled. But it opened and Tootsie scampered in and sat next to me on the bed. "Hi boy." i said patting his head. Drake sticked his head in the door. "Go away." i said not looking at him. He walked in. "Faith Im sorry." he looked at the floor. "You should be. I didnt want him to know." i said looking at Tootsie. He came over. "You are smart, smarter then him. You deserve to go to college." He siad looking at me. "No Im not. Luke deserves to go. He gave up on so many things to take care of me." i shook my head. "Faith May Tipin you are smart and you have the right to go." he made me look at him. I staired into those green eyes. "What if I fail at collage?" I asked. "You wont." He smiled, it was his I know you will do great smiles he gave me everytime i was nervous. "Okay." I said nodding. He smiled. "Good." He tickled my side. I laughed and fell off my bed. He started cracking up. Luke walked in. "What you do Drake?" he asked laughing when he saw me on the floor laughing. "I got her to go to college." He said triumphant. I got up and grabbed my pillow. I hit him with it. "Ha." I Dropped it and ran outside. I heard him following me. "Drake you should know by now I'm faster then you." i laughed, and ran. "Oh but I got faster." He sarted running. I giggled and ran not looking where I was going I ran into someone. "Oh sorry." i said looking up. I saw a guy, he was looking down at me. "Hey Faith." he said smiling. "Oh hey Mitcheal." I said getting up. "I was actually on my way to see you." he gave me and dazzling smile. "Oh really." I smiled I love his smile. Drake walked over. "Whos he?" he asked looking at Mitcheal. "He's a friend from school." i said. Mitcheal gave him a long look. Then his eyes were back to mine. "So I was wondering if you wanted to go out sometime?" i smiled. I saw Drake stiffen. "Um I have to think about it." i smiled. "She cant." Drake said bluntly. "Oh why not?" he seemed sad looking at Drake. "Because her brother will not be here for a couple of days and he put me incharged. I dont think he would like her going out on a date with someone he doesnt know." I watched both of them. "Okay, Drake you dont know him either, and I would love to Mitcheal." i said. Mitcheal smiled. "Good Ill pick you up at 7 tomarrow night." He smiled and walked away. But first gave Drake a look. "Faith I dont think you should go out with that guy." He said his eyes concerned. "why?" i asked looking at him carefully. "He just looks like a dork. Tonight I dont want you going into the forest. Its sposed to be really dark and hunting season just started so I dont need you getting shot." He turned and walk back to the house.
I watched him walk away. "You arent my brother!" I yelled. I walked through the back door. "Drake should leave." i said to Luke before walking to my room, I saw Drake look at me. His eyes looked diffrent. But I couldnt pin point it. I layed down and and fell asleep.

Chapter 2: (Drakes point of view)
I watched her go, if only she knew. "Drake I know you said those things for her own good." Luke said walking over, he was the only one who knew what I was. "Yea I know." I sat on the couch. "Well Im going, I will call later. Just dont get into anymore fights." Luke said walking over to the door. "Ill try my best." I said sighing. "Tell Faith that I didnt want to wake her." He said opening the door. "okay." i said. "Drive carefully." i said. "Of corse." He smiled. I counted to 100 before I got up from the couch, I looked out the window the moon just rose. "Hell be here." I sighed, I layed down on the couch and fell asleep.

I woke up to Faith screaming. I Jumped up and ran to her room, I turned the knob but it was locked. "Faith!" I yelled I just heard silence. "FAITH!" I yelled. I stepped back and rammed threw the door. I got up and looked I saw a cretuare hiss holding Her.Put her down." I said. He hissed and jumped out the window with Faith. I looked after them. "No you dont." i ran after them following their scents.

The creature ran carrying the girl. She layed limb in his arms. "Stupid shifter." He growled, he found a path and ran down it. "Please dont kill me." The girl wispered. "Oh I wont kill you, I'm going to make you one of us." He smiled. "Please just let me go." She said. He stopped at a tree, he sat down still holding her. "But youll see, youll be powerful, stronger. Youll be even more beautiful." He moved the hair from her neck. "Just sleep and when you wake up you'll be with me." He used his telicanises and she closed her eyes. He saw tears fall.

I ran through the forest. He growled when Iwas getting closer. "Ill save you Faith." He said running. I saw them by a tree, he was about to bite her. "Dont you dare!" I said. I stepped out into the moonlight, my tail lashed. "Leave us alone." The creature growled. He put Faith down and walked over. "I know you Drake, all talk and no bite." He laughed. I growled. "I will keep that girl safe, I warned you about this family." i said. "Oh but that makes it just the more fun, I had my eyes on this girl for a while now." He siad looking back to where Faith lay. I growled and jumped on him. I bit his shoulder and ran my claws down his sides. "How dare you." The creature siad. "Leave." I said standing infront of Faith, my tail lashed. "For now." He got up and disapeared into the night. I turned back and went to Faith. "Faith wake up." i said holding her. Her eyes fluttered open. "Drake?" She asked her voice shaky. "Yea its me." i said wiping away the tears. "What was that?" She asked. "Something evil, but your safe now." I hugged her. She hugged me back crying. "I was so scared." She wispered. "I know, come on lets go home." i picked her up and carried her back. She just looked at me. I knew my eyes were still animal like but I didnt care right now. We walked back to the phone ringing. I set her on the couch. I answered it. "Hello?" i asked. "What the hell I called three times now." Luke demanded. I walked into the hallway. "He was here." I said in a low voice. "What was he here for?" Luke asked. "Faith." I said in a my voice shaky. "WHAT? IS SHE OKAY?" He yelled. "Yea, I got her away, shes just shaken up." I paced the hallway. "I need to talk to her." Luke said. "Okay, but dont really mention it, Ill tell her in the morning." I walked over to Faith. "Here ya go." I faked a smile. She took the phone. "Hello." she said looking at the floor. "Yea, everythings fine. Yea Luke im okay." I walked into the kitchen. I didnt need to listen to their conversations. I made her a cup of herbal tea. I waited till it cooled. When I walked back out she had the phone of the table and she was sitting with her knees to her chest. "Here this will help." I said handing her the cup. "Thanks." She took it and took a sip. I sat next to her. "What really was that?" She asked looking at the cup. "I dont think you want to know." I said. "Please tell me." She asked. I sighed. "A vampyre." I siad looking at the ground.

"A-a vampyre." I shuddered. He put a hand on my shoulder. "Yes." I looked at him. "He wanted to make me one of them." I felt tears slide down my face. He wiped them away. "Well he wont, I wont let that happen." I looked at him. "What else is in this world that I dont know?" I asked. "I dont want to scare you." His hand on my shoulder clenched into a fist. "I have a right to know. I was just attacked." I said putting my hand on his. "There are witches, and vampyres, werewolves and." He trailed off looking at the tv. "What?" I asked. He looked at me, his eyes were diffrent again. "Shapeshifters." He sighed, like some wieght have been lifted off his shoulder. I was about to speak when I heard a bark, Tootsie ran in and licked my hand. "What are you?" I asked petting Tootsie. "Im a shapeshifter, how did you know?" He asked. "Well the way you just said 'Shapeshifters'. Plus your eyes." I sighed. "Oh." Was all he said. I looked at him. "Luke knows doesnt he." I said. He didnt look at me. "Drake, please talk to me." I said. "How Faith, how am I soposed to talk to you about this, I almost didnt save you." He looked at me his voice hoarse. "But you did." I took his hand. "Like you always say, you are meant to do something you will do it." I smiled. "The famous qouter of Shakespear quotes me instead. Are you feeling alright?" He put a hand on my forehead. I laughed. "Yea I am. Thanks to you." I said. He smiled. "You need sleep, and since I kinda broke your door down and I dont trust leaving you with the gaurd dog here." He petted Tootsie. "Your sleeping on the couch." He said. "But where will you sleep?" I asked. "Ill sleep on the floor, Dont be suprised if there is a wild animal in here when you wake up." He laughed. "Hmm, well we do have a shot gun under the kitchen sink." I laughed. "I was the one who put it there. I know." He smiled. I put the cup on the table. He got up. "Your bleeding." I said looking at his hand. "Its okay just a scratch." He said. I took it and looked at it. "Thats not a screatch. Come on." I dragged him to the kitchen sink. I washed it under some hot water. "Ow." He said being suprised of the water tempeture. "Dont be such a baby." I said cleaning the cut. "Well sorry but hot water burns." He said. I smiled. "Well I would think shapeshifters were invincible." I laughed. "Yea yea." I turned off the water and wrapped some gause over the cut. "Where did you learn how to treat a cut?" He asked looking at his hand. "I dont know." I shrugged. "Well you need to sleep. Go." He shooed me to the couch. I laughed at sat there. "Im serious. Sleep." He said sternly. "Gosh you nag to much." I said laying down. He put a blanket on me. "Sleep well Faith." He said. "Yea yea." I said closing my eyes, I felt him kiss me forehead.
I dreamt of war, I saw these wolves and people like the creature fighting against animals and people who were half animal and half human. Then there was these people with staffs. They were fighting and killing and I saw Drake. He was on the ground blood all around him. "NO!" I cried I ran to him. He looked at me. "Take care of yourself kiddo." He sighed then closed his eyes, they didnt open. "No, no you arent dead." I screamed. I felt hands on my shoulder. "No. No." I cried.
"Faith wake up." I heard a voice. Drakes voice. I opened my eyes. "Drake." I cried. He hugged me. "Its okay." he said. I cried into his shirt. "You died." I said threw tears. "No Im not. Im right here." He said. "It was so real." I said. I heard the news. There was a plane crash in a school. NO survivors. "Oh god." I started crying agian. "What?" He asked pulling back to look at me. "I dreamt of that, I couldnt save them. The plane crash." I said crying. "So Luke was right." He said. "What do you mean." I snapped. "Faith your a prophet. or prophetess." He said. "What is that?" I asked. He wiped the tears. "It means you see glimpses of the future." He sighed. "Thats means your going to die." I said shaking. "Faith, by telling my this that could've stop that glimpse." He said. I looked at him. "I've written down all the dreams I've dreamt in the last month." I said. "Go get them." He said. I got up, it was morning. I went to my room it was destroyed. I went over to my bed I lifted the mattress. I took out the journal and walked back out. "Here." I said sitting on the couch again. "First tell me what this dream had." He said holding the journal. I looked at the ground. "There was war, people fighting. There were Vampyres and these wolves fighting on one side." I said. "Werewolves." He sighed. "Then shapeshifters on the other with witches I think." I said. "Do you know why they were fighting?" He asked me. "No, I was just there. But no one saw me. And then I saw you." I said blinking away tears. "Its okay Faith." He said putting a hand on my shoulder. "You were on the ground there was blood everywhere. You told me 'Take care of yourself kiddo'." I said bringing my knees to my chest. "I think we need to go to the council with this." He said pacing. "What the council?" I asked looking at him. "It the leaders of our society, there are humans in it. But not many. We are allowed to tell one family what we are." He siad looking at me. "And you told us." I sighed. "yes, I was origanlly just going to tell Luke, I didnt want you to be scared. But then he came and I had to." He looked at me as if he was apoligizing. "Don't you think about apoligizing for this, you would have probably told me when you get drunk on your 21st birthday." I laughed. He smiled. "Are afraid of anything?" He asked. "You will never know." I laughed. I smiled and stood up. "Oh really?" He asked putting the journal down. "Dont you dare." I said walking away from him. "What?" He asked smiling. "I know what your thinking." i said laughing. "You do?" He smiled. He blinked and his eyes changed. I laughed. "Im going to guess that your a dog." I said guessing what his animal was. "Not even close kiddo." He laughed. He leapted and landed as a black panther. I staired. "You scared yet?" He asked. "Nope." I smiled and ran down the hall. I heard him laugh and run after me. "Crap your fast." I said running. "Finally." He laughed. I ran out the back and around the corner. "I hope you know that panthers have a great sense of smell." he said turning the corner. I laughed and climbed a tree. "Wait its dogs that can climb trees right?" I asked. "Wrong." He jumped on the tree branch. "Crap." I laughed. He laughed and gently hit me with his tail. "Hey watch it." i laughed. "Not sorry." He purred. "Ill get ya with a bucket of cold water." I threatened. "you wouldnt dare." He said. "Oh try me." I said pulling at one of his wiskers. He meowed and put his paw on my hand. "Why arent you scared." His green eyes searched mine. "Because I know you. I know you would never harm me." I said. He changed back. But his hand still had mine. "I know that your not some monster out looking for a kill." I said leaning closer. "I've killed before." He said looking away. I made him look at me. "By protecting yourself and Luke and me." His eyes met mine. "By making sure that Luke is still here to take care of me, or making sure Im still alive." He leaned closer. "But I am a monster." He wispered. "Then your my monster." I said right before his lips met mine.
