Bloody Fur (Marked_By_Nyx)

Marcus looked out into the woods. His mind could not choose either. Nothing seemed for the better. He was no longer the bright cheery boy who lived with a full family and loved life. Now he felt empty inside, he was already dead in his heart. His body however, no matter how many time's he's cut his wrist it would heal over and over again.

Marcus merely waved his hand in one quick swipe at the fire and it went out. " I am neither. I will be..Human, I will not be the monster that man wishes for me to be. Nor will I have to walk in both words. Call me naive if you want, but that is what I wish. If I am to be the fool, the child forever trapped in this form. Then so be it." He whispered as he slowly stood, telling the wolf to leave and it did so. He walked behind Arther, his arms sliding around the vampire's waist as he rested against him, his lips kissed Arthur's neck. "You will always be a vampire. I will not always have to be a werewolf." He whisper as he let go and headed back inside, normal and calm as ever.

Arthur was the one who would have to face a painful future, for Ally was mortal, and he was forever young.

But as Marcus got into the house. Something felt wrong, he could smell blood in the air. It was Alley's, she had cut herself. It drew him closer to her, His arms wrapped around her lovingl in embrace as he sniffed gently. "You ok?" He whispered.

Arthur looked at Marcus shocked. He just kissed a grown man. On the neck. His father too! He just stood there starring at Marcus as he walked away.

I reached up to get a glass down from the cupboard to get a drink when one fell and hit my forehead. The glass didn't shatter but I knew I would have a bruise there. The glass did however shatter on the ground. When I bent down to pick up the pieces I kept cutting my hands. Then Marcus came in to see my blood soaked hands. "Umm... yeah," I said. marcus hugged me softly. "Thank-you."

Marcus sighed as he pulled her gently into the washroom. "Be careful next time. I don't want...you to get hurt." He moved rather quickly and with precision as he opened the first aid, cleaning her cut's and then wrapping them up in soft layer's, enough so she could even move all her fingers. "I'll clean up." He said as he left her be. Picking up the pieces, he cut hsi own hand as well but the wounds healed instantly as he threw it in the trash and relaxed in the living room.


"He has a gentle queer heart wouldn't you say?" Came the rugged voice of the old man who suddenly appeared in Marcus's spot where they sat. He was a beast of a man, his body a mountain of muscles draped in rugged cloth made from the wild itself. The old man laughed as he looked to the vampire. "He's decided to not be wolf and to live as a human...Interesting. Though I am disappointed in him." Another laugh.

I blushed as I looked at my hand. "Thank-you," I whispered even after he had left.

Arthur looked at the wolf. There was no reason to fight yet. "I will admit that it is odd," he told the wolf. "Not the second part but the first. The second part was the right choice. He belongs with the humans. And if you so much as go near him you will have h*ll to pay." Then got up and walked back into the house.

"Your welcome." He yelled from the kitchen. He forgot he she was whispering. Whoops. He laughed as he started cleaning. "Don't touch any cleaning products tilly oru cuts heal." He called from the kitchen as he did some dishes and started to make the breakfast. Even though he just had rabbit, his hunger was grown. He stopped when he looked out the kitchen window, seeing the old man stond where he was once sitting. His rage was starting to grow. Inside his chest he made a low threatening growl.

Outside the man laughed softly, gave a wave and disappeared in a second. Marcus stood there, stunned. Was he seeing things? No, he was there, he could smell him. He tried to forget he saw him but his hands were shaking badly as he finished cleaning and began cooking. His eye's looked tensed and strained.

I blinked and looked around. Where was Marcus? I walked down the stairs to see Marcus. "Are you alright?" I asked him. "You look angry." Then I saw that he was looking at Arthur. "Oh don't be mad at him. He's trying to be a good father to you Marcus. We're both trying to be good parents."

Arthur watched as the man ran into the forest. He'll be back, he thought to himself before he went back inside. He could smell fresh blood. Had Ally cut herself? Marcus must have treated it.

"No.. It's not Arthur." Marcus took one of the knife and threw it with deadly accuracy as a wolf suddenly rushed past Arthur and made a direct strait line for Ally. The wolf was downed by the knife. Marcus merely stood there. His eye's tense as he walked over, dragging the dead wolf outside. He did not say or even look to the two of them It was the same wolf he befriended earlier.

"Marcus!" I said with open aww mixed with fear. No one could throw a knife that far. I looked at him with shock before I went to go find the knife. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Arthur reach for me but I ignored him. What was going on?

Arthur watched as Marcus threw the knife. "He'll be after you," he said after Ally was out of ear shot. If she wanted to find the knife fine. Arthur wasn't about to make her forget anything too strange if she didn't want to forget. "And you have to be that much more carful. You heard what was a whisper and answered it. You threw a knife with inhumanly speed and deadly accuracy. You are this close," Arthur held up a finger less then a centimeter from his thumb, "to blowing cover."

"Tell her my family trained me to hunt." He whispered outside as he pulled the knife and chucked it aimlessly at Arthur, without having to look. "Your both cops, my sis was one and my parents were seasonal hunters. I've learned things over the years." He smiled as he began to dig a proper grave for the wolf. He was still friendly to him in the beginning. He knew the old man could also control the wolf. Ye he didn't know he would use him to attack Ally. Which meant she was in danger, because of him. Marcus grunted as he punched a tree. "No.." He whispered as he finished burying the wolf and left to the woods.

Arthur caught the knife with one hand. "Marcus..." he said softly. Then he shook his head. The boy was too careless. "I don't think even Ally would believe it. She's out here. Looking for the knife anyways."

I watched as Arthur and Marcus buried a wolf. What was... I walked around the building and into the house. I could see them coming now. The knife was clean of all blood now. The wolf must have been buried now. "What secrets have you been keeping from me?" I asked the boys as the came near the house.

Marcus sighed as he was beginning to see why he should have let Arthur deal with stuff. "My sister and dad taught me how to hunt, I'm sorry I didn't mask the scent of the rabbits. The wolf must have followed me back to the house. I'll be more careful next time to bag my catch's." It was an easy and plausible answer as to the wolf attack. Yet the skill he used to throw the knife was spot on and hard to explain. He then walked past and headed for his room. "I'm going to read for awhile...Again.I'm sorry." He spoke softly as he left the two alone.

"Arthur..." I said in a shaky voice. "That... wasn't human... Marcus... tell me he's human. Tell me he's still the Marcus I've always known." tears were starting to leak from my eyes. Arthur walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my hips. He touched his forehead to mine and whispered, "Sleep and forget... sleep and forget this morning my love."
"Ar.. thur," I whispered as I fell into a deep sleep.

Arthur walked up stairs with Ally in his arms and laid her down on the bed. He kissed her forehead and went to talk to Marcus. "You have to hide your powers better," he told the young boy. "You can't just go around killing wolves with knives. If you are then you're going to have to use a gun or aim a little off target. Like the spinal cord or the neck rather then right between the eyes. Make sure the target is close enough. Learn from your mistakes Marcus. This is your only warning for your aim. Got it?"

Marcus was crying when Arthur came in. Quickly he wiped his tears away. "I panicked..I..wanted to protect her..." He sighed heavily, coughing slight as he put his face in his hands as he bent over the bed while sitting. "I...I can't...I can't do anything right..: He whispered as he felt his body begin to change without command. He was full wolf, a towering giant of muscle and fur. Like the old man.

Marcus looked at Arthur, his eye's still leaking tears.

Slowly he began to transform back into the young boy. He still had his head down, he lifted one hand and quick punctured his wrist. The red ran out slowly as he raised it in silence. He knew Arthur hungered for it. He didn't care to give him his, it would help him ease his pain, Marcus was going to help them both.

Marcus sighed softly as he leaned in closer. "You need this, it'll help you be more relaxed,give you strength. You won't have to worry about drinking from Ally, your going to need to be the strongest because that guy is going to keep on trying to either kill her or have us revealed to her." Marcus once again offered his wrist. "You need to be strong to protect her, I can't do that."

There was no stopping him. "Then don't." His wrist smudged to Arthur's wrist, the blood smearing, he could smell,taste it. There was no turning back now.

Marcus sighed softly when he felt the absence of blood, he slowly leaned into Arthur. It was a strange morbid feel of tension and yet euphoric and high.

"Arthur.." He whispered as he began to feel faint from the blood loss. His heart began to race faster as he passed out, his heart producing faster blood then a human heart was to replace whats being taken. He simply felt the world go dark, his heart slowly stopping.

His eye's were glazed and he wasn't breathing. He was dead.


I awoken the light of day, sitting in the forest. Amongst the trees i could hear screaming. I looked about and I couldn't find anyone around. Yet the screams I can hear them more clearly. I look more closely and saw the old man, but he was not alone. I saw my father, the two of them talking.

Keep him safe..teach him Nathan.

Both of them turned and saw me.
