Pirates of the Caribbean: Time to move on (private)

"Sorry." I said to her and led her to our seats.

I sat down next to him.

I stood beside my father as he sat down.

"Sit Janey."

I waited for it to start

I sat down in the chaos and waited.

"Order!" I called. "Order I said! I call to order of the 8th brethren court."

The room went quiet.

"Who called this meeting to order?" I asked looking around.

Everyone looked around for the person who called it to stand up.

I stood up slowly. "There is a law in the code that says that the brethren court must accept the successor of any pirate lord. So me and Jack have called the court. We're old. We're tired. We're ready to pass on our pieces of eight."

I listened and watched.

"So I chose this lad," I said taking Jack's arm to make stand up. "As my successor. Anyone got a problem with it? Tell them your name lad."

"Jack William Turner."

The crowd gasped as my son said his name. "All those in favor say aye." There was a loud amounts of ayes. "Jack Sparrow. Your successor?"

I stood up. "My successor will be my daughter. I said and looked at her. "STand up and say your name lassie"

I stood up and said, "Jane Linora sparrow."

I smiled and waited for the crowds reaction

There was little to no reaction. "All those in favor say aye." There was only 2 ayes. My own and Barbossa's. "Against say Nye." There were 4 nyes.

I stood up. I looked at all them. "Why do you reject her?! She would make a fine pirate lord!" I said.

I had to admit. The young Jack was impressive.

One of the lords stood up and said, "Because of her lineage and the fact that we have never heard of her before. Just because she's Jack's daughter doesn't make her fit to be a pirate lord. The worst of us as well."

"Don't you dare judge her by her lineage! Just because her father is Jack Sparrow does not mean she is the same as him. No offence Jack."

"None taken Lad. I very much agree with the young Jack. My daughter is different from me and knows how to be a captain because she runs my ship when I'm able to get my hands on a bottle of rum which isn't that often seeing as my crew always drinks it all before I can get any."

I laughed but a different person said, "We thought that you Turner thought would be a good pirate because of your lineage."

"Why do you judge by such ways?! I know I will be and I will be able to guide my boat because I know maps and star charts. Jane is tough and has the strength of any man to be a captain and a pirate lord."

Jee wiz. that boy knows how to talk.

I walked over to Jack and touched his shoulder. "They're pirates jack," I said. "It happens." On the inside I was screaming with him.

"I will not let it rest Jane. You deserve a spot as a pirate lord."

"Jack," I said taking his shoulder. "Have faith." I walked up to the front and said, "What can I do that will prove I'm a good a pirate as any?"

I sat down unwillingly with a fire of anger inside of me.
