Josh was never one to back down from a challenge. But when his friends teased him for being a virgin, he declared to make out with someone. And they chose a girl who was quite abstract to say the least. The dark, brooding looking girl who had a deep dark secret. She was rather the quiet and alone type. But the reason was for her demand of carnal and gore lust for blood and sex. She wasn't human.

But Josh didn't know any of this, she was cute, her pale skin was somewhat smooth looking, he almost wanted to kiss it. He gave in and accepted the challenge. He made his first move at lunch as he confronted the girl under a thick well shaded oak tree.

Josh was an average looking boy, dark crows hair and get brown eye's, he looked like a nobody, nobody really cared about him. They always teased him for being so damn plain.

Amelia, to say it, was tired of school already. She had no need to be here, she basically knew it all. The deep, dark pulse of her music nearly had a headache forming. She didn't care, to say the least, it took her mind off the constant hunger pain in her stomach.

Josh slowly bent down in front of the girl with a warm smile on his face, he gave the girl a wave to get her attention. Then,sat next to her. He seemed rather gentle and came off as weak,timid and easily controllable. "H-hi...My names J-josh.." He smiled. He looked average, his body wasn't impressive, his eye's were bland brown as they stared at her intentional.

Amelia took out a head phone, looked easy, "And you want something?" Her hunger grew, she could feel it burning in her stomach.

He sat exactly next to her. Their arms almost touching. her cold skin could feel his warmth almost spreading to her arm. "I-saw you sitting here a few times, alone. I wondered if maybe we could be friends, ya know, hang out and stuff." His smile was warm and innocent. He actually liked the girls voice as well. She seemed rather socially awkward and it worried him. This was not a healthy lifestyle to live. He would do his best to befriend this girl, even though he did not know how much danger his life was in.

She shrugged, hiding a shiver of content at being close to him, "I do not 'hang out' i sit and stare into space. I like my space," keeping his mind off of her would give her a little more control, or she hoped distracting him would so she feed. She needed to, her stomach growled as she listened to his steady heart beat, smelling his blood.

"Yet you look like you want something else. Is there anything I can help you with. Maybe even if it's just talking. That's what friends are for right?" He smiled at her cheerfully, he noticed the strained look in her eye's, were they starting to turn red? He was getting lost in them The soft hue color making his heart beat faster. It took a lot of strength and will power to turn his eye's to the ground, his hands were shaking. Why?

She tried not to smile, if he just tilted his head she'd be able to get at his neck. "That is if they do not hurt you in return." She blinked, looking away, her eyes were probably turning red, not good.

"I would never hurt you..." He said truthfully as he took her hand. He smiled warmly as he slowly moved his head to look through her mass of hair that covered her look. She was avoiding him? As he leaned to close, his neck was exposed. She could feel the steady beat of his pulse through his hand. "I'll do anything for my friends."

She couldn't hold back any longer, it'd been so long... before he could even blink she tilted his head and bit his neck, loving the metalically taste of the blood. She closed her eyes, drinking slowly to keep track of how much blood she was taking so she didn't kill him.

His whole body went rigid as she leaned forward, then went even more stiff as he felt the two sharp points puncturing his neck. He didn't move. he didn't even make a noise, he was just in utter shock. Luckily no one was around to watch them, was she in pain. Did she hurt so much as to take the pain out on him? He had no idea what she was. He could only muster the strength to wrap his arms around her, hugging her gently against his heated body, his heart beating faster as he began to feel slightly weakened.

She pulled back and sealed the marks, wiping her mouth, "I... I'm so so sorry!" she was freaking out, she'd never just went and done it with out giving something in return, crap, now she had to give him something back.

He kept his kind smile when she pulled away. He touched the spot where she bit him, he felt weak,shaking softly as he tried to keep sitting up strait and not fall over. "I-it's fine..D-did you..Do you...feel better." He whispered as he laid his head against the tree, he looked rather frail now. Looking at her with his soft warm eye's. He wasn't afraid, he wasn't disgusted. He was worried if she was alright.

That was odd, he wasn't screaming and running calling her a killer or a bloodsucker. "I'm... fine... you okay?" she asked, tilting her head to look at him.

It was hard to keep his eye's open, his breathing was long and shallow as he opened and closed his eye's repeatedly to try and stay awake. "Ya..just really tired. I'm guessing your in a lot of pain, I've never heard of anyone biting someone before." He was an innocent clueless guy.

She felt bad, she bit her wrist and held it to his mouth, "Drink, you will feel better. Trust me." She hoped she hadn't taken to much.

He glanced at her bleeding wrist, his eye's went blank. he felt a sudden rush of heat hit his face as he found himself taking the wrist. staring,fixated on the blood as his lips slowly pressed to the wound, his tongue licking gently. The hot wave running down his throat. Losing himself in the high rush of it all.

She let him until she pulled back, "You fell better now Josh?" she asked softly, watching her skin heal its self.

He slowly felt the empty space of air as he breathed in and out slowly. His tongue gently licking the blood on his lip as his eye's remained closed for a set amount of time. "Yes.." He whispered as he laid on the grass, his whole body felt warm again. "What was all that..it was as if I was being pulled in, the taste...was like nothing I've ever drank in my life.What...Are you?" He whispered the question without looking at her.

She felt her self pale, "Your worst nightmare," she mumbled, she hated when they asked this. "I don't think i can tell you... you'll kill me."

He smiled and poked her gently. "You really think I'm strong enough and brave enough to hurt someone.Everyone beats the @!#$ out of me. I'm the loser who people pick on because I'm not good at anything in life. I've been...used...before. I would never betray someones trust. I promise, what's happened won't be told to anyone else. That's what good friends are for." He laid there, holding her hand now. He would keep her safe, even if she was dangerous, even if she hated him or turned him down or away. He would keep close to her, make sure she doesn't have to be alone anymore.

She sighed then laid back onto her back, "I'm what your idiotic culture exploits. I'm one of your Vampires. But, i'm not only craving the blood everyone thinks we need. We crave other things." She really didn't want to get into this.

"If you want it, I'll give it to you. My blood..anything to make you feel better. You seemed in pain when you bit me. You drank a lot, it must be rough." His gently thumb caressed her hand as he held it. Staring at her as she laid next to him under the large tree.

She sighed, "I have heard that before... I don't know how i can hold you to it though. As loong as i feed on a regular basis, i won'd be finding some random male out on the street to feed and have... never mind." she caught her self before she said anyhting else.

It's ok, you don't have to talk about it." He pulled up closer to her, positioning himself so his neck was bare for her to take. "I..I am yours to do with what you want, I won't ask why or how. Just do what you need to do. I'm here for you ok?" He smiled as he closed his eye's and held her close. He was ready for anything, he took it as his responsibility.
