feeling left out
no one cares
the life i live
i can not spare
my deepest secret
will be in hush
the life i live will turn to dust

Don't Give Up!

But isn't the beauty of life,
in the crazy strive,
that fruits of success you'll
eventually taste?

But isn't the sweetness
waiting for you
in the very near future?

so why should you give up,
in your own precious life,
that God took so much effort,
to bring to this planet Earth?

Live on life not for others' sake,
but for your own desires and dreams,
for the hard work you put in,
will eventually pay off one day...

Just believe in yourself,
in your works,
and in everything you do,
because you will become
that shining star,
if you really strive crazily.

Above, is my response to your poem. and I hope you can live on for yourself. Try not to dwell so much on past happenings, and look ahead into the future that's uncertain, that you can, with your own hands, mold and pave into whatever you want it to be.

16 years isn't long,
my dear friend,
for there's a song that goes,
'15 there's still time for you'.

here i am!

And anyway, someone came even if i didn't, and that's you. you're always there for yourself. ironic, but that was how i lived through the most bitter times of my life. (just to say, i'm not much older than you, in fact, i think i'm of the same age as you are.)

so yeah, don't give up. don't even try to, because you never know what you're going to come across next. life might just take and 180degree turn without notice and give you some cherry blossoms and dozens of friends tomorrow (:

why? there's no point in grieving over nothing really. i used to do that, and now i find it such a waste of time. i could have put those times to better use like converting those negative energy into inspirations for new writes (which was what i did two years later). and now, i'm happy, healthy and appreciative of my own writes. and how i've changed so much since the start till now. people write journals, i write poetry. journals ain't for anyone else but yourself to read, no?
just cheer up really. nothing's so cool about death or suicide. but sometimes i do wonder too, what happens if i die tomorrow? what's the point of me living? but not the negative way, just confused. why are we working or striving so hard when we're all eventually going to die? okay, i get really lost in all these kinds of things and can debate about them forever.

you can write about happiness too. and when people are happy, it is not always that they are. and you don't have to make sadness the drive or well of your inspirations. try to strive to make everything your source of inspirations, including 'comment' buttons (okay, just joking), try not to be so negative really. life's short, so make it worth while and not wasted in grief.

i think you're overwhelmed with emotions so the lines felt a little detached. maybe you could try rephrasing your lines? because really, the meaning is there, just that the lines just don't flow smoothly. erratic i'd say, but it's good to keep it if that's how erratic you're feeling.

well it felt a little too erratic to be a 'i-just-write' poem (without emotions weaved into them)

-not very good with getting all flowery with extensive vocabulary or beautiful phrases. Only through verses, lines and stanza, can i convey my deepest and most honest comments. Forgive me if it has aroused any unhappiness in you, i meant nothing of that sort.

Life's not all that bad honestly. i like to be dark and like to trample on the grounds of angst, depression, grief, anger and hatred, but it's because i'm writing to relief myself... somehow i feel that you're writing to make yourself lean closer to the end of life -- death.

if you are thinking of all that all the time, maybe irony can help a little. it will be painful at the start, but just try writing a happy or encouraging poem. (just try it. it will suck for the first few attempts.) it will seem like it is mocking you, but after awhile, it is what keeps you going.

take me for example, ik it's the mst terrible example to take, but still.... I've walked through dark times and yes, thought about attempting suicide, thought about why it's always me and not others. then did i realize, it's only me being like that because I want to be like that. if i choose to prevail and see the beauty in the smallest things, i can be so much happier.

you have two choices -- to take what you're given happily or to take what you're given with a grim look.
