Contracted Marriage(closed.)

I wanted to hug her, "Did he do something to you or did his death leave you with outa boyfreind?" I asked, keepimg my arms at my sidde.

I sighed. "I didn't really approve of him going into the military. He never did anything wrong to me until the day he enlisted when the week before he'd asked me to marry him...and we were both had a mutual desire to wait until marriage to make love for the first time..." I said softly. Memories of me and my daniel flashed in my head.

I nodded, "I see... He always talked about 'his liz' waiting at home for him. he said he wanted to go home every night to cuddle up with you. He did say one thing to me that has been bugging me,"

"What's been bugging you?"

?Well, he told me as he laid dieing in my arms that if i could ever find His Liz, tell her he died a happy proud man. He'd done somehting fro his country, for you. He wrote all the time in a little notebooks, told me to find you after i'd read them all and give them t oyou. With his old military uniform and things. I should go get them for you," my thigns were packed in there too.

I didn't say anything. My eyes started watering.

I looked at her, "I whish you'd let me hig you," I whispered, brusing har back off her shoudler. Tears were filling my eyes.

I would cave this once. I turned and leaned into him.

I hugged her, rubbing her back softly, "I'm sorry, i should not have brought it up," I told her. "YOu can cry if you want, I'll wait," i whispered soothing her.

"What will you wait for?" I asked softly as the tears ran down my cheeks.

"To move. I may be oncomftatable, but you feeling better is more important," i nearly added lcoe onto the end of that sentance.

"What else would he say about me?" I asked.


(her job is that she's an opera singer.)

"He listened t oa tape of you singing everynight, said it was his pride and joy along with a picture of you in his dress coat," I smiled lightly "he'd tell stories of how you two met, have stupid fights then not rememeber it the next morning... Said oyu were his perfect match," my voice caught abit, "said he'd love you until he died, then some."

I moved slightly and rest my head on his chest. "What was the 'then some' bit about?" I asked.

'He'd love you until you joined him at the white gates. he said he'd stand there, garuding them wit heverone else until you came home,"

"I'm sorry." I whispered.

I blinked hard, "Why? YOu lost a loved one, i lost a freind. Freinds come and go, lovers never die,"

"No...I'm sorry for being so rude and mean to you." I said softly.

I shrugged, "You were pi$$ed off. It odn't care," i said, ribbing her back doftly still.

"I haven't gone wind sailing or even on a date since the last time my Daniel and I did those things...."we'd have date night every Saturday....and then go away on weekends sometimes to go wind sailing." I said softly.

I nodded, "I remember one thing he told us, a story when he first took you out, you belly flopped hard," i msiled lightly

"He was the one who belly flopped actually. I've been wind sailing since I was 12."

I nodded, "It also true he sang to you, in the middle of a bonfire that night too?'

I nodded..."He was a tenor...and he was singing a favorite song of mine..."

I nodded, pretending i knew what that was, "What is your favoite don?"
