House Of Night For 13 Year Olds

A thought struck me then, I fought back tears

"Im gonna... go... check soemthing out" I rushed out of the building and back to my dorm, I grabebd my guitar and a picture then headed to the roof. I looekd at the picture, my parents, a tear poured down my cheek. I had been marked right after a car crash, my parents had died. I sighed, pulled my guitar on my lap and started to sing

"I painted your room at midnight
So I'd know yesterday was over
I put all your books on the top shelf
Even the one with the four leaf clover

Man, I'm getting older
I took all your pictures off the wall
And wrapped them in a newspaper blanket
I haven't slept in what seems like a century
And now I can barely breathe

Just like a crow chasing the butterfly
Dandelions lost in the summer skies
When you and I were getting high as outer space
I never thought you'd slip away
I guess I was just a little too late

Your words still serenade me
Your lullabies won't let me sleep
I've never heard such a haunting melody
Oh, it's killing me
You know I can barely breathe

I was gonna go after him but the other boy grabbed me,I looked at him.

"Let him be alone,he probably wants that,"I said softly.

I loked voer the edge of the building, I set my guitar down adn let my tears drip over the edge

I looked down at the sidewalk, I saw Summer comign towards the dorm. I picked up my guitar again

"Am I loud and clear
or am I breakin up
Am I still your charm
Or am I just bad luck
are we getting closer
or are we just getting mroe lost"

I turne around at the sound of her voice. I set my guitar down

"Hey"

((waht'd i miss?))

(Not much, me and country, foun out were the only 3 3rd formers, and now me and countrys girl are on the roof of the boys dorm, her boy is at the head office)

I pulled her away and took her to the room assighened to her, "DO you know if you have a room mate?" I asked as i set her bag on the floor.
"I do not know. Now, i'll be fine, lets go get you settled."

I looked at him,"What's wrong?"I whispered as I reached over and lightly brushed a tear off his cheek with my finger tips.

"well, I'm just remembering my family, I was marked right after a car crash, adn... they never made it" I choke out

"Thanks, but you dont have anything to be sorry abut, it wasn't your fault."

I bumped into someone and all mystuff fell outta my hands,"Oh sorry."

I shrugged,"I'm still sorry that you feel this pain,of loss ones..."I whispered as I pulled back.

I sighed

"Im gonna go back to my room, Ill talk to you tommrow"

I walked baxck to my dorm silently and wen tto sleep

I woke up about 10 minutes later adn walked outside, I climbed a tree and layed down near the top, looking at the stars

I sighed and found a way down,I started towards my dorm.

I looked over th edge of the tree adn saw Summer

"Hey, can you come up here for a sec?" I yelled down

I looked up and saw Owen,"Sure!"I walked over and climbed up,I sat beside him,"What's up?"

"No no i wasn't paying attetion,I am so sorry,"I picked my stuff up.
