Secret Protectors ~ Started [x]

Avery rolled his eyes. "Now that would be a miracle." He muttered. He turned back away from Lillia and started to walk again. He smelt fresh blood slowly dripping down his face. He groaned and wiped it away, unintentionally smearing it across his lips.

I wandered around, bored, my tail blowing out behind me.

Avery let out a loud groan. Shay. The last person he wanted see, besides his brother. He tasted the metallic blood on his lips, and cringed. "Shay." He started, his back still towards her. "Why don't you just go back into your own stupid little world, you're not wanted here." Avery's jaw clenched, the words starting to spit out of his mouth.

Avery lifted up his hand and wiped the blood from his lips, it smearing across his palm. "Why are you such a shady b!tch?" He retaliated, sneering. He shook her hand off his shoulder and took a step back, like she was infected with a disease.

Avery's mouth opened slightly, shocked she had the nerve to say such a thing. "Ungrateful?! What the hell do you mean I'm fxcking ungrateful?" He took in a deep breath, his eyes flickering with fiery rage. "You are betraying your kind! You're helping them take over the Realm, and you, you don't care! You're going to steal from the Protectors! From the blue dragons... From me."

Avery didn't say anything. He looked away from Shay and down onto the ground, not even bothering to move away from her. He felt her cold breath brushing against the fine hairs on his face. She was right. He wasn't a blue dragon, and he didn't deserve to call himself one. But he feared for why the black ones wanted the gem. He couldn't understand, so to him, it must be something important. He slowly looked back up at Shay. "Don't do it. It's never just something with them." His voice was soft and quiet.

Avery gave a small laugh. "You're really that stupid, aren't you? They want to take over the Realm and here you are, helping them. They don't want a gem to admire it, Shay!" He spat her name like it was acid on his tongue and took a step away from her. "I don't know what it does, but if they need you to sneak around to get it, then it's something the Protectors are keeping hidden. It's something important."

Avery growled at the door of which Shay just exited through. His fist collided with the wood, making it vibrate and giving off a loud bang. He took in a few deep breaths before turning around to look at Lillia. He shook his head as if to say "leave me alone" and wandered off through the corridors and down, out of the school's main building.

(Oh, yes. Avery isn't that tall. Probably about 5"7. Also, we can lapse now. ^^)

Avery awoke in his dorm. He didn't have any recollection of how he got there, but he was. He turned over in his sheets and realised he was still fully clothed. He groaned and climbed out of the bed and towards the bathroom, taking a quick shower and changing his clothes. The school was closed for now, only the dorms remained opened for the students who had no family to go to. Every year, this time came about, and every year, Avery pondered on visting his mother, this year, he brother decided to visit him and it wasn't very welcoming either. He sighed and headed out of his door. He didn't want to face the prospect of bumping into Shay again, or his brother, so today, he decided to go out~ where~ he had no clue.

I shifted to normal and went to my house.

Avery ignored all the students spilling out of their dorms and pushed past them all, not caring whether they fell over or not. He would usually feel bad about this, but he just wanted out for now, he wanted to get away from this place as soon as possible. He knew he'd have to come back later, but for now, this was his freedom. The bright sunlight stung his eyes as he stepped out into the humid July air. Most students were leaving now, their parents having picked them up, so it was pretty simple for Avery to wander through the Academy's gates without being detected.

Avery heard his voice before anything else, and instantly he felt deflated. He let out an annoyed sigh, his eyes soon setting on the figure of which was his older brother, Riley. "I don't need to stay here, either." He replied, side-stepping around his brother and continuing his walk. He knew Riley would follow him, but it didn't stop him trying to escape. His hand moved up absentmindedly and stroked the slightly crooked bridge of his nose.

Avery rolled his eyes. "I don't care. I'd rather not you follow me though." He decided to be blunt with his brother, after last night, there was no way of being nice to him anymore. He sped up his pace, just hoping, in the slight chance his brother might actually be nice enough to leave him alone.

I snorted. "Yeah right. If you think I am just going to walk out now, you are sadly mistaken. After all, why don't you want to spend time with your big brother?" I asked, sarcasm dripping through my voice.

As I was walking towards my car I spotted a cute familiar face. And a large gorgeous man beside him. Curious, I turned around and walked up to him. "Hey Jackasss. Who's your friend?" I asked, looking the guy up and down.
