Secret Protectors ~ Started [x]

Outside, the rain sprinkled down.

The backs of Avery's knees hit the bed frame, he lost his balance and the bed squeaked loudly at the sudden change in weight. "I was doing mum a favour! Dad died because of that guardian crap! And yet you're risking your life and following in his footsteps! At least she has the comfort knowing I'm alive!" He spat back.

"im comin home, comin home, tell th wolrd Im coming home" I sang

Pain shot through Avery's face as his brothers fist collided with his nose, his hand flew up to the affected area and the warm blood began to trickle down his arm. Avery wished he could ignore the pain like the guys do in movies, but he couldn't. Every time he went to open his mouth to retaliate, he felt another crack and the pain which followed. His eyes tore away from that of Riley's, finally feeling ashamed. He knew his brother was right and ever since he saw that meeting with Shay and the Black Dragons, he wished he could fight, like it was an instinct. "I do know about the war." He managed to say- his voice hardly recognisable from how nasally it sounded.

Avery looked at Riley, his chin still towards the ceiling. He shrugged his shoulders, trying to act like it didn't hurt. "If it weren't for me, you wouldn't know about the little plan the Black Dragons are plotting." He spoke, his voice a little stronger than before. He knew Shay was his friend, or well, he thought she was, but he couldn't let her steal from his native race. "You'd better watch your back."

'Claire...' The name ran through Avery's mind, it was vaguely familliar but he couldn't quite put a finger on it, so he let it go. He broke eye contact with Riley and shrugged. "I accidently overheard something." He mumbled, feeling quite stupid all of a sudden. What if Shay had been pulling a prank on him?

"The name is vaguely familiar, but I'm not sure where." He responded to his brothers annoying outburst. He wasn't stupid, he knew about the Black Dragons and the war, after all, it was the war his father had died in, and the way Riley was treating him was starting to get on his last nerve. Avery noticed the blood had stopped and moved his hand to touch the bridge of his nose. He hissed in pain as soon as he did, it was broken. He moved his hand away and got up from the wall, looking his brother in the eyes. "Why should I tell you? You come barging in here, ruining the peace I had, break my nose, then demand me to tell you what I know?!" He shook his head, looking disgustedly at his brother. "You don't deserve to know anything."

Avery looked at the door his brother just exited from. He fell down onto his bed, the springs making an uncomfortable screeching noise and he sighed. In one way he was relieved, but in another, he wanted to cry. He loved his brother and there wasn't a day he'd go without thinking about- especially if he were still alive. A single tear fell down Avery's cheek and he wiped it away furiously, accidently hitting his nose in the process. "FVCK!" He shouted as the pain shot across his face.

Avery looked up, who on earth would be knocking now? One person crossed his mind. He grabbed a spare bed sheet and held it up to his nose, the metallic smell of blood tickling his senses. Avery's hand turned on the door knob- "Shay, I do not want to see your face ever aga-" He stopped mid sentence when he noticed the blue scales of a dragon, he looked up and saw a veil of silky red hair and he scowled. "I don't wanna see you either." He mumbled, a nasally tone hinted at his voice.

Avery looked at her behind the cloth and sighed. "I don't even know who you are, but here you are. You find me again." He walked back over to the bed and sat back down onto it, holding the sheet tightly to his nose which had started to bleed again due to him knocking it earlier. He didn't look at the red-headded girl again, instead he concentrated on the floor, the exact spot where his brother had stood.

I entered my dorm room and avoided the cameras with ease. My mind hummed at the thought of all the money I was going to get all for myself. Yet, at the same time I was thinking about Avery. What a dumbasss. The hottie could have gotten himself killed. And why was he stalking me!? Ugh. What am I going to do with him?

Avery looked at Lillia for a split second before shaking his head and standing back up. "You know what? Just... Just forget it." He spat, he walked towards the dorm room and stormed out of it, slamming it back in her face. He walked down the corridors, not particuarly caring about the cameras scattered across the campus. He wanted to get out, everything was too much right now, nothing of it seemed worth it. His brother was right, he was a coward. He had done nothing in his life apart from run away, and here he is, doing it again. A low growl vibrated his throat, a growl targeting himself. He was disgusted.

Bio: Owen was an orphan, but he grew quickly, by the time he was 9, he had the mind of someone three times his age, at the moment, he holdes a doctorate in physics.
Looks: Tall, dark hair, brown eyes, red scar across back of hand. Looks to be about 16

Lillia waited for a few seconds, blinking her light blue eyes before turning on her heel and following after Avery quickly. She was aware of his temper, and his obvious anger but she quickly caught up behind him anyways, slowing her pace when she was looking at the back of his head. "I'm sorry if we got off on the wrong foot." She started, talking to his hair in a way.

Avery turned his head around and caught the sight of Lillia. He rolled his eyes. "Look, I know you know something, and until you tell me where you've come from, I don't wanna hear from you. I don't need this crap right now, not from some stranger." He sighed, turning his head again.

I wlaked outside, shifting when no one looked.

Avery frowned and stopped again. He turned his body slowly and looked at Lillia, really looked at her. She was a stranger to him, he'd never seen her before, not even when he was a child, yet his mother trusted her with such a big responsability? "You, to find me? You?" Avery gave a small laugh.
