Denial

I gave up, i sat down on a rock and waited, eventually she would find me and i could explain what i was doing.

I ran for what seemed forever until I reached a rock, with a figure sitting on it similar to Kiefers. "Kiefer?" I choked through tears

"Yes?"

Tears fell from my face. "Why did you leave?" I said quietly

" I can't tell you, well i can but i'd rather not." i couldnt look at her, i just stared at the full moon and sighed deeply.

I shook my head. "No." I sniffled. "Tell me."

"To find Roy." was all i could say through my tears

"Why? If he's so evil why would you want to be near him?" I was trying so hard to understand.

"It's hard to explain just please trust me." i took her hand but still wouldnt look at her.

I sighed as he held my hand, my breathing unsteady. "I dont care." I said, grabbing his chin and making him look at me. "Tell me please." I said pleading

"I cant. Sorry." i started to stand and look around, seeing where i could go where Sayla wouldnt be able to follow me.

"Take me with you."

"No." i said flat out

"Yes." I argued back

i heard a noise,"Wait here." i started to walk towards the noise,"Stay here, i mean it."

I crossed my arms with annoyance and nodded

i walked north until i saw a young fledgling feeding on about 20 bats.

"Who are you?" i asked him calmly. the new vampire hissed and lunged at me. i reacted quickly though and saved my neck, literally. i threw him to the ground and kicked him in the ribs, cracking them instantly. he whimpered and tried to stand.

"i asked you a question and i want an answer. Do you work for Roy." only blood squirted out of his mouth. "Speak." the vamp tried again to stand but with my strong hand on his chest he was screwed. he couldnt do anything except obey me.
"Yes." he finally sputtered. i loosened my grip,"Why did he send you here? To spy on me?" he laughed evily

"Dude i dont even know you, i just was listening to my orders, follow you and observe. Problem with that?" i punched him in the stomach

"Does that answer your question?" i continued to fight with him, even though he was weaker than a mortals grandmother would've been. Finallly i had him begging for mercy but i did not let up.

"Sorry dude but im only doing my job too, putting out the trash." i bit his neck quickly and spat out the blood i ended up slurping up. i tossed his body into the bushes behind me and dusted off my hands.

I heard whimpers and the sound that drew me to him before, he was feeding again. I shuttered at the thought, it was true I had seen worse but it was still gross to think about. I waited impatiently for him to return

"Sorry had some creep to take care of."

"I heard." I huffed

"Oh...sorry i didnt want you to see i killed a guy."

I shrugged, trying to stay mad, but it was getting harder to do

"Im sorry for thats."

I shook my head. "It's fine."

I kissed her head and we sat there in silence for what seemed like forever before i got that sudden urge inside of me to drink blood. "I uhmm have to go again, kinda urgent. Sorry again but i promise this time ill be right back." i gave one last sad look and took off into the woods once again.
