Tyson nodded,"Yeah maybe."

I looked at him. I was at a lost for words now, I couldn't remember a time in my life when I didn't know what to say. "Wow, you're the first person to make me completely speechless." I said,

Tyson chuckled and smiled,"That good or bad?"

"I don't know, if we were fighting it would be but I guess right now it's good." I said.

Tyson nodded and smiled.

I looked up at the sky.

Tyson watched her.

Looking at them sky reminded me of an old riddle we would use when we wanted to tell a human what we were. I started saying it outloud unknowingly. "We fly, but not in the sky. We live in both worlds of the land and sea. We are in the waves and hear the moon. We are a creature of two." I kept looking at the sky.

Tyson listened to her and smiled.

I looked ahead and not at the sky now.

Tyson held her hand as they walked.

I looked at some of the houses that we passed, the ones that were too close to the beach for our comfort anymore.

Tyson stared to hum softly.

We did I looked at him, smiled, then looked away.

Tyson smiled as he kept humming.

I would've hummed too but a mermaid's singing is deadly so I could only question what a hum could do, and his song was alien to me.

Tyson was humming on old english song as they walked.His grandfather use to sing it all the time when they sat down on the dock fishing.

I sensed something about the song, so I didn't want tp interupt him. Even if I did I had nothing to say.

Tyson kept humming as he looked ahead.

I looked at the sun and saw it was close to dark, not a good chance to take. "I think I should head home, I really don't need to be out here at night." I said.

Tyson sighed and nodded,"Alrigt,"he said softly and lead her towards the edge of the water.

When we were there I turned to him. "Don't worry, I'll be back tomorrow, I can continue visiting until...." I looked out at the water, "until I'm married." I whispered.

Tyson nodded,"Alright,"he whispered then let her and go and stepped back,"good night."

I nodded. "Night." I said and changed then jumped in before I fell. I resurfaced to look back at him, to let him know I wanted to stay, but I coulnd't. I went under and went home.

Tyson turned and headed up the beac towards his home.
