Afraid of history repeating itself

Afraid of losing who I am

Afraid of missing you too much

Afraid of everything turning grey

Afraid of the sparkle inside your eyes dying

Afraid of hate becoming your new best friend

Afraid of love tearing me to pieces

Afraid of ignorance

Afraid of giving up too soon

Afraid of missing out

Afraid of being a failure

Afraid of falling into an abyss

Afraid of never reaching for the stars

Afraid of nightmares taking over me

Afraid of guilt being used a weapon

Afraid of my last breathe

Afraid of losing myself in life’s maze

Afraid of my weaknesses being discovered

Afraid of never letting go

Afraid of you walking away and never returning

Afraid of being left alone

You should be afraid too.
