"What now?" I was stumped. we just ran away from a hospital without discharge papers, would they come after us?

"We have to get far away from here, that's for sure. I'm not sure how much trouble I'll be in for fleeing the hospital without discharge but I don't want to get caught. They might keep me there longer"

"In essence, yes," I nodded, glancing around the forest. It seemed almost too quiet. "They overreact when people just ditch the hospital, I've seen it before."

I snuck back along the alleyway and made it across the street.

It started to drizzle as I made my way down the streets. I felt as thought my walking pace had gotten faster, but I guessed I was imagining things.
I got to the front door to find it was locked. Mum wasn't home yet, good.
i patted my pockets for my key, ofcourse I'd forgotton it. How was I going to get iin? we had no spare...I remembered my window was open, but that was upstaris...

I managed to avoid getting seen as I made my way home. The cars weren't there so I was safe for now. Unless my parents were on their way to see me, in which case I needed to hurry. I raced across the street and went in through the back

I climbed the tree onto the brach that was directly opposite my window. I clung on for dear life!
When I got my balance I edged closer to the edge...
I was about a meter away from the sill..

It was just my luck that the house was empty. If anyone had been home I would've been lectured for sure. However, it didn't mean someone wasn't home.

I took in a brath and went for it, I jumped.
Surprisingly I made it!
I scrambled in and landed on the floor without trouble.
Right, back to work.

The floor creaked underneath my feet with each step making me wince. It was difficult being sneaky when just moving gave me away. My eyes continued to dart around in case anyone showed up. I wasn't in the mood for questions, especially since I technically should be at school.
