well, it was sad, but we didn't really have time to get to know him, so couldn't say I sobbed. my reactions were quite neutral while i thought "go figure" I felt sorry that Zoey had to see it, (but not as much as with Stevie Rae) and Duchess really added to the drama.
he seemed to be a nice guy, so had we time to really get the notion, it would have been tons more heartbreaking.

Cast did not give me a reason to care. I knew he was probably going to reject the Change and come back the moment when I learned why Neferet was interested in him. Also another thought at the time: "is Zoey going to be "involved" with a member of every species?" A vampyre, fledgling, human, zombie, what's next?

oh please no, the horror that would be just sad, trying out every species (but true! humans. check. fledgling. check. vampyre. check. red fledgling...just as well check! )

might as well include the cats next to the raven-mocker while we're at it
