The ravens here are gianormous. They're as big as a 20 pound dog and they attack bald eagles and hawks around here. They also rip wind shield wipers off of cars. Kalona may not be pure evil and may be afraid of Neferet, but he's still evil. Killing and raping is evil, and he did that long before Neferet came along. So you can't say that Neferet is what's keeping him evil or made him that way in the first place. Sure she might be more evil than he is, but he's still evil.

Yes, but jealousy isn't a good quality to have. Jealousy is very close to envy and coveting, which are both evil. Envy being one of the seven deadly sins and coveting being a sin in Christianity and most other religions.

I don't know if he feels bad about the crime, I think he feels bad because he got kicked out of the Otherworld by Nyx. Which then turned to angry and then was directed towards humans. Nyx told him if he chose Light he could go back to her and the Otherworld, but he pretty much gave her a big eff you.

See I don't think he was always afraid of her though. Maybe now he is because he sees how much power she's obtaining, but before she wasn't. I think it started out that they were just using each other to get what they wanted. I think that Kalona admitted that to Z once, that he only used Neferet to get him out of his prison and that he doesn't love her. I don't think Kalona is stupid as much as he's turning a blind eye. I think the book just said she was becoming immortal, but wasn't one yet. What does Kalona have to fear if that's the case? He's immortal and could have stopped her at any moment, but he didn't because he enjoyed the power trip he was on and the suffering he caused.
