Erik's scene in class

Bipolar is a mind disorder. People who have it will change their minds for no reason at all. It is kind of like a personality disorder. They can be calm one minute, and the next they will be really angry. It is really sad to watch someone who has it really bad.

Erik was hurt when Zoey cheated on him. He wanted to sub conscientiously make her feel as bad as he did. It is just like when you get angry at somebody, but you don't really want to physically hurt them. You just want to think about hurting them. Erik snapped and was unable to keep his feelings bottled up inside him. He acted out his anger and hurt. Of course he still loves her, but he doesn't know how to deal with the pain of losing her the first time.

Oh. So kind of like a moody person?

Yeah i would believe he'd be bipolar. First he's mad then he helps with the ceremony. You're right he's like a moody person.

I totally agree with you. I was so sad that Erik was that hurt. I knew he was upset but not to that extent.

he was a total ass. Seriously guys. He's become a total jerk.
The scene was intense of course, but he didn't need to do that.

Totally babe, I totally agree with you! Specially the part where he showed her how crazy about her he was...!!! Damn... somebody give me some Erik!

Othello was a nice choice for such a situation... therefore, I send my appreciations to the author... the main theme of the "Othello" play, as most of us know, is jealousy... and it is a very hard play to act... the dialogue which Erik chooses to act with Zoey is the climax of the play... the dialogue passes in the end of the play and Othello comes to the bedroom of Desdemona, his wife and he wants to kill his poor innocent wife...
the tension of this play is also felt in the novel... while reading I wondered what would happen between Erik and Zoey while they were acting... Maybe Erik would kill Zoey but Heroines never die right? So, Of course abusive moments passed... I remember that Erik hits Zoey... he both kisses and knocks down the girl!!! UH-OH... thats not right... I mean, Of course Zoey is guilty a lot... She should not have been in the bed of her prof when she had a lover... But Nobody deserves abusive treatment.
In the scene, we can already see that Erik loves Zoey but in a different way.. his love has turned into obsession and hate... nuthin more...

I mean look at Erik =) I do not want to generalize but, I believe that Love turns into Hate... and that's what we call Erik's feelings for Zoey... but I am underlining again... I am against generalizing... =) I mean this love turning hate thing ... this did not happen to me but mostly I witnessed from my friends' loves

Oh my god! This was by far my favorite part of the entire book. I loved at the end of that scene when Erik was like "I do like kissing you Zoey, its just that to many guys do." or something similar to that, its been awhile since I've read the book. But GOD! I just love Erik <3

She did cheet on him, but i feel in that sence he went a little bit too far. All of the other fledgings must of know about their relatioship before he became a proffesuer, but to dump that all on Z in a middle of a class, was unprofesinol he should of talked to her and let her explain, and talk through it not humiliate her.

yeah, he acted in a childish way... how could he dare to treat her like that... sometimes the power of love might be dangerous in case of these terms...

After he said that, i cant believe that Zoey went back to him like that. Like nothing happened. Erik is just a kid inside, who cant deal with presure or adult situations

I agree with you Sarah! I got really pissed when Z simply went back to him... I mean "Hellooooo he humiliated you." And even if she did cheat, he didn't have the right to do that... Although I have to say it was a really hot scene actually!

I would not trust Erik and I think in normal life if there was the same situation, Erik would not prefer to date with Zoey again, coz no man who has done such abusive treatments would come back to that girl... or he would come but his aim would be nothin but taking revenge from that girl...
