Stars shine brightly
above my head,
as i lay to sleep
in my earthly bed.

time flies by and
i'm without a care,
the wind flows through
my long silky hair

I'm held, so tight,
by the one i love,
as i look to the stars
that shine above

very nice. (:

they're all amazing! I wish i was any good at poetry.. i suck at it!

My Grandmother's Gift


when i was young
my grandma once said
"i'll be giving you a gift
when i reach my end"

being only six i
didnt know what she meant
for weeks my mind,
over this subject was bent.

a few years had passed
and the thought left my head
until they summoned me to see her
on her hospital bed.

on that one fateful morning
as it was her last day
she reached for something
and she turned away

she outstretched her palm
unfolded her hand
she said in a whisper:
"this is my final demand"

"darling i love you,
and i know you love me,
but the time has come
for me to now leave"

she handed me one thing:
a small wooden box,
attatched to the sides were
2 golden locks

"find the keys for
the box hold the prize"
she stared at me with
her green and blue eyes

at that moment i left,
i could hantle it no more
i told her i loved her
and walked out the door.

the small wooden box
was her gift all this time
i shook it a bit.
the locks made a chime.

it was now clear to me,
what i had to do:
fufill my promise
and make it come true.

more years had passed
and i was now 19,
when i saw something shining
among her old things

i grabbed it right up
and looked in my hand,
two small silver keys,
one for each end.

i hurried to my box
and unlocked the sides,
so badly i wanted to
see what it hides.

inside was some parchment
tied with faded pink rope
i was careful to untie it
to read the small note.

i read it aloud
though no one was there
it was me on my own,
in the dusty basement air.

"my love is always kept going
forever and true
Mari, im gone now
but i will always be with you."

i cried and cried
i kept is close to my heart
how it hurt so badly
that we were now apart.

to this very day i keep it with me
in the small, wooden case
i will forever love her and miss her
my memories will never erase.

play your violin
oh angel of night
a song full of beauty,
a song full of light.

play all the while
like there is no end
what its like to be you,
alone without friend...

i really like that one :]]

the sky is painted,
Its the colors or rainbows
how i long to fly...

short and sweet i like it
it reminds me of when i go flying :]
