The Enemy ( Started; But still open:D )

"Ohh." I said sadly, putting my hand on her shoulder. "Faith.. I'm sorry. Everyone hear is going through it. We all lost them. We just need to stick together and we will get through it." I said softly.

I sat down next to her and nodded "Yes.. I understand. But we have other peoples lives on the line. This is for the best, Ami. If it helps you any.. You could visit your dear lost siblings at the burial grounds. We redid the entire thing and put all lost children in it. It was a very distasteful job but it looks quite beautiful." I said and put my hand light on he back.

I shrugged my shoulders "Amber, you know their right. Your making it worse sweetheart. Just let us help you." I said

" I always have the same nightmare each night. I see my father. He looks normal. I go over to hug him and it turns out hes like those adults out their. I tried to stop myself from runnning into his arms but i can't." I looked away from him hiding the fact i was crying.

I let silent tears flow over my eyes"it would be good to see them again I remember that we played a little with each other before they died do you remember"

"I don't need help! I can fix it myself. I don't need anyone to take care of me" I said.

"I knew a guy who said the same thing. You know where he is now? He's dead."

"Amber, we all need to take care of each other to survive" I said.

I could tell that she was crying and I pulled her into my chest, hugging her tightly. "Faith.. It's going to be okay. It is just a dream. You can always wake up from it. Just know, that your father is in a better place now. With all of our other parents. And.. And that thing that was left in his body, is not really him. It's just using your dads body, that's all. It's okay, Faith." I said soothingly.

I looked down at my hands sadly "I remember. It looked like everything was going to be okay for a while. Until those bloody Grown-Ups had to ruin everything for us.. Again." I muttered

I studied her for a moment "Amber.. Do we need to have a girl talk? Because something is wrong." I said, eyeing her.

I nodded"yep since then I swore I'd protect them and yeah I already lost Amber"

"You make it seem remembering that would be easy."I blinked really fast to stop more tears from coming out.

I nodded and leaned my chin on her head softly. "I know. It is hard. I know. We all have had the nightmares. Most of us still do. Some more worse than others, but we al, have experienced this. Natalie still has them about our Mom. But she stays strong enough, and she is five. You can go through this Faith. And.. If you get scared, just come talk to me. I will protect you. I will protect everyone." I said simply.

"One time Ami. But that was partly her fault for be so beautifully stubborn. She knew she should not have ran out like that and she got bit. You know what they say, carma is a bitc-.. And- well, she bites. You have been a good leader so far I can tell. You act before you think, but that is what makes you fast. You have lost love and are loney and sensitive, but that's what makes you strong in a fight. Henry will like you a lot." I said, calm.

"Thanks Devin. Shouldn't you be with Amber?' i asked him.

I steped back and streched "You looked sad so I came here to see what was the matter." I looked behind me and saw that Amber wasn't there "She probably went to go clean her wound" I said and smirked. "Based on the bickering I hear in the background I think she is being stubborn again." I said and smiled, turning my attention back to her.

"Ya. i heard. Ya well nice to know you care." i sighed. I stood up. "Hm. stubborn reminds me of myself." i mumbled.

"Henry would like me"I laughed"the only thing he wants is for the grown-ups to be dead so he can get into girls pants again"I looked up at him"thanks but a good leader take responsability"

I shook my head and crossed my arms over my chest. "Why would there be anything wrong? Nothing is wrong. You guys are being ridiculous. There's no need for a girl talk. Just let me clean my wound by myself and go worry about someone else. Or something else, like our dropping numbers or food. Just let me take care of myself."

I chuckled "I do care about you and I do know you are stubborn like Amber that's for sure." I said

I rolled my eyes "Yeah Henry is a player, but there isn't any girls his age at the Big House, so he has changed. Put more of his focus into getting our home in order and making sure everything is okay. And he did his job well, is doing his job well." I said

I eyed her again "First tell me whats wrong, then I will consider to leave you alone for the moment." I demanded

I rolled my eyes"that I gotta see"I smiled"I'm game to go"I looked at him and then shouted"gather the food were going to D.C. and I don't care what you have to say"I sighed"I hope your right for there safety"

I took a deep breath as I got a bit dizzy. "Nothing's wrong... I'm just tired, s'all" I sighed. "Tired of all of this. Tired about having to worry about survival, about food...GP's. Everything. I just wished it would go back to the way it was before." It wasn't really a lie, since I was tired of it all.

i grinned. "Ya. so are you going to go to D.C.?"

I shrugged "To be honest, I have been out battling all night no one has really told me about D.C. But.. I guess I am going wherever you guys are going" I said

I raised my eyebrow "You do know it's like 4 in the morning right?" I said

I studied her for a moment then nodded. I stepped into the and took over cleaning her wound, regardless of her complaints. "We all our tired. We are just kids" I whispered softly

"By you guys you mean them and not me right?"

"yep the grown-ups aren't out really as much in the morning"I smiled"I've done my reaserch"

"Can we take a vote? Because most of us are tired" I said and yawned for a good measure.



I raised my eyebrow and smirked "I meant everyone, but you are included, so yes" I said and chuckled

"I was hoping you wouldn't say that." I wasn't going no matter what i didn't trust Harv and dont think i ever would.

"fine we will leave later"I said as I put my locket away

I sighed and nodded. "Yeah...what's this talk about D.C.? because I'm staying here" I said. My wound hurted and it felt like I was going to puke. I tried not to show it though.

I shrugged "There is a safe haven there. Oh and your going little miss Amber." I said nonchalantly



I smiled, satisfied "Good. And with that note, I am going to bed" I said and patted her back one last time before walking off.

I smirked "What? Do you think your not going?" I asked
