Dude I can't beleive how drool worthy Kalona is

That's not Kalona. It's Rephaim. Kalona wouldn't have scarlet tattoos down one arm and feathers braided into his hair. The Wings and the tattoo could just be symbolic of Rephaim's loyalty to Kalona and Stevie Rae respectively.

I agree with Bella-rose, it's not Kalona, the cherokee side of Rephaim has finally been seen

I love it though. I hope the tattoos aren't just symbolic, it would be so cool if Rephaim were to bear Stevie Rae's mark.

It can't be him though because in the book they have a birds beak and in this picture there is no birds beak so there for it must be Kalona

That is because it is rephaim's human side! I think that will be in this book.

my first expression was Kalona, too, but like Bella said, the tattoos are just looking like some flowers and the tattoos are scarlet... so it has to be something with SR -> it's rephaim. plus the mentioned feathers in the hair. but i cannot understand the reason why the guy (Kalona/Rephaim) has got wings? i don't believe it's symbolic, the covers never were symbolic! i just thought that he may be able to do some magic things to fly with his wings without being a Raven Mocker or he still has his wings and those tattoos 'cause he's torned between SR and his father.. so he's half good and half evil! but i really thought he would have long thick black hair. but this hair is just felty -.-
but a good looking guy although it could be kalona

I love the cover. especially since it's Rephaim and how he looked when he saw himself in the fountain at the end of Burned. That was really cool, but I can't remember them saying anything about wings in Burned.

I was wrong, oops. Lol. Anyways! Rephaim is down right drool-worthy. And the cover is so.. Chill rising. I love it!

@ nightchild: In the reflection in the water, rephaim didn't have wings. That was directly mentioned.

PC said on her blog that's Rephaim. Like i said, probably just being symbolic. In Tempted Stark wasn't holding Zoey in a hallway and Heath was never far away in the background, but that's what's on the front cover.

I love that cover!! I seriously hope and KNOW that the guy isn't Kalona! Why would Kalona have tattoos anyway? It was probably the vision of Rephaim that Aphrodite had, right? I can't wait for the book to come out, I'm really excited for it! I hope that means something good will happen to Rephaim and Stevie Rae, they're my favorites

@shiger: as Bella said, it's written on PCs blog that it's Rephaim and not Kalona. I guess, too that it means that he get a great role in the new book... i mean otherwise they wouldn't put him on the cover, won't they?

I'm so happy i've been drawing what i thought that he would look like for a long time , he has shorter hair then i thought that he would have. oh well this is a LOT better.

I swear I squealed when I saw this cover! Kalona wasn't even a second thought. I instantly thought it was Rephaim! I'm so glad I was correct. I've been wanting him to grace a cover for so long. This must mean he plays a prevalent role in Awakened.

agree with you, i think (and hope) that he will have a greeeaaat role, too. and him on the cover is pretty cool, cause he's my favourite character

he and sr are my favorite too, I really like the parts in the books about them.
