what do you think the title 'Awakened' means? contains spoilers (i think)

the title explains it all. in the other books the title connected to the book in a way, so whats your guesses on what Awakened means?



My guess that it might be Heath awakening but maybe thats just me doing some wishful thinkin. =D

i think it has to do with zoey finally returning, and bringing stark back and i think it may have to do with rephraims humanity and maybe something to do with kalona.

yea, but then that would be soo awkward I couldn't handle it.
He'd e gone for soooo long and then Zoey's relationship would change with different people. The question is would she leave for Heath if he came back?

To tell you the truth, I hope he doesn't come back. When she left and he went on, I felt relieved. Boy trouble for Zoey solved (Stevie Rae is a completely different story) and I think this would be a good way to start to tie everything up. That way Zoey (in the end) doesn't have 5 consorts and I don't feel out of sorts about it.

I think it might mean that Zoey is being awakened to bigger problems.

I think since there are going to be 12 books this one is going to be mainly about Rephaim and that it will be him awakening to his humanity and becoming the Indian boy they seen in the pond.

I agree with the Zoey Idea. But I also think it has to do with Kalona too. Maybe something in him is capable of turning against Neferet. That one chap. in his perspective makes me think something like that will happen. And Lol, i like that part you posted about Heath. Quite Funny But tears for Heath

when i first heard about that the title will be awakened, i have to think of Darkness himself. I cannot believe that it would have to do with Heath, 'cause i don't think he's such an important charakter (i really liked him) that a whole book would be namend for his return. i guess he will join the group again one day, but not just in the next book after he died. that would be too fast i think. i guess there will be a bad mighty that will "waken up" or Darkness or something like that. Is this violet cover the real cover for the book? ('cause on the others were always people on it) or is it just a cover 'til the right one will come out? does anyone knows that?

I'm pretty sure the violet cover is only temporary, 'coz they also had something like that on Burned before the official US cover was released =D

As for the title, maybe Z and the gang will realize something majorly important? Or maybe some kind of life altering event will occur? I can dream xD

Or maybe it can be each of the characters 'awakening' in their own way; like Z awakening to real life (what kind of side effects will her time in the Otherworld leave?), Stark awakening to his new role of being a Guardian, which I'm sure has more detailed bond effects than a Warrior's Oath, and Neferet and Kalona awakening to some kind of new power? Or awakening to the fact that they are just getting in each other's way?

Also, it could be Rephaim awakening to the fact that his father's side is not where he wants to be, and Dallas awakening to Darkness, and creating more problems for the gang?

OMG! Just had another brain wave right now! In Aphrodite's vision, she saw the two bulls fighting on Earth... so could that mean that someobody is going to 'awaken' the black and white bulls?

Hm i thought a time about the other titles from the book... they all were named because of something that happens to zoey.
@sky: i really love your theories, but when i think about the other titles, i guess it's just named awakend, because zoey is back from otherworld...

Hmm... yeah good point :/ But I think Chosen was also sorta about Aphrodite and Zoey, because Aphrodite says in the ritual to save Stevie Rae (before she passes out), "I'm the Chosen One this time." And I think Untamed may have been about Neferet/Kalona, because Zoey wasn't really that Untamed... LOL.

But yeah I think you might be right... which means that we have no clues to work with when it comes to what might actually happen in the story... xD I swear, the Casts love leaving us in the dark =P

Maybe it's just me but I don't think the meaning of Awakened is that simple or literal. Ah, well, we'll find out.

It could be that but i dont really wont to think that it's not all about Zoey. In burned who got burned not Zoey i hope it's about Rephaim. i really like him.

why is the title "Burned" not about Zoey? i guess it points on the fact that zoey is walking around like a zombie in otherworld?

In the otherworld she doesn't get burned thou, it's more like she gets frozen. I thought that the title was about Stevie Rae because she got burned in the last book.

That's what I mean. Burned started where Tempted left off. So I think that Awakened just starts where Burned left off.

okay that sounds logical, but the other books weren't named because of the books before!

Maybe Rephiam and Kalona will awaken from the Darkness and come to the Light!!

i don't think kalona will, 'cause I think, Kalona is too much influenced from Darkness (and Neferet).
maybe it's the Darkness Dallas awakened inside him!
