The Summer That Changed Us

Fraternal twins attached at the hip. They've always done things together and our the other's best friend. This summer their going to camp together, they start off inseparable but quickly grow apart into new people. When they come home they hardly seem to know each other anymore, but let's not get ahead of ourselves, what happened this summer?

"Well, that stinks." I said after the camp leaders said Amanda and I will be in two different cabins. "But it's not like we'll spend forever there so that's okay!"

Camp was home to me, my mom started sending me here since I was little and in the summer it was more my home than the actual house I lived in.

I walked into my cabin and flopped down on my bed.

I smiled. Another year at camp. Awsome.

I jumped off the bus and smiled.Camp I loved this place evey since I was 6.I waved at Brandon.

I grinned as I looked around my cabin.

I sighed, "We've been lucky other years" I said with a small shrug, "I guess we had to expect this at some point..plus we only really sleep in our cabins so we'll still see each other" I smiled


I got off the bus and smiled seeing the familiar setting that was camp, I slung my guitar over my back on it's strap as I headed towards people

I looked round hearing someone talk, "Oh hey" I smiled, "How's your year been?"

"Pretty much the same" I laughed, "Been looking forward to coming back here since I left it last year" I admitted

"Hi Collins, hi Troy." I said walking over to them. "Have a good year?"

"Right." I said and smiled and tried to look around for someone I knew that could be in the same cabin as me.

I smiled, "It'll be ok" I said, "Really"


"Hey" I smiled, "No better then usual" I told him, "Looking forward to coming back here to be honest, focusing on music more this year"

"I'm sorry, Collins. And that's cool music and things." I wasn't great at music, I tried the drums once, I broke a drum set once.

"Of course. It'll be great. This place is nice. It'll be fun. I know other people here..." I added the sort of in my head.
