The Summer That Changed Us

"It'll be great fun" I grinned, "I'm here to persue my singing career" I added with a laugh


I laughed, "You still aiming high then"


I nodded, "Of course"

I smiled and didn't say anything.

"And for those of us who aren't music nerds we relax and have fun." I said.

"Hey" I said with a bright smile, "How're you?"


I rolled my eyes at them, "Sport isn't relaxing with you lot" I said, "Always a competition"

"And your point is....?" I asked.

"Hi." I said.

"Competition just ends up with arguing" I said


"And sports make you sweaty" I added with a fake shudder

I rolled my eyes, "Male hormones have kicked in this year then" I said sarcasm hinting in my voice


I chuckled at her blunt response

"That's sexist. Boys can play beach volleyball too." I said. "And girls can play whatever sport they like."

I shrugged,"yeah they have."
I elbowed him,"excuse my rude cousin."
