I kept walking with him

I sighed. "I wish you would say something," I said. "Anything. Just blurt out the craziest thing that came into your head."

"What do the different colored roses mean?"

"There for the previous Queens and I," I told her with a smile. "The red Queen is in the past. I'm here now so there are also the black roses. And the White Queen will live forever so she for the future."

I nodded and kept walking

I sighed. "Do you have any gardens at your home?"

"Yes. A small flower garden"

"What flowers are there?" I asked.

"In my garden I had roses, lily's, dafadils, orchids, jasmine, and I had a cherry tree....the pink blossoms were beautiful in the spring."

I frowned. "What's a 'cherry'?" I asked.

"Its a type of fruit."

"Oh," I said. "What does it taste like?"

"It tastes sweet."

"Well then I guess I would like that fruit," I said softly. "What color is it?"

"Red"

I nodded. "What color are the blossoms?"

"Pink"

I nodded. "Pink is a nice color," I said. "A mix of both red and white. Together they can help make so many different shades of the same color. But it will always be pink. The second the red touches the white or the white touches the red the color is changed forever."

I nodded..

I sighed. "It's kind of philosophical though if you think about it," I said.

"what do you mean by that?"

"I mean no one person is ever the same really after one thing has happened to them," I said. "Each event. Each person is a different color added to the mix. In the end we're going to turn out black or brown."

I nodded....."makes sense I suppose"

"And from this day forth I will always wonder what a 'cherry' tastes like."

I smiled. "ill have to bring you some if i get to go back home"
