I frowned. "I don't think it would be much of a 'if you get to go back home' but more of a 'once you're home will you be able to come back here'?"

"oh.."

"Yeah," I said softly.

"Would you want me to stay?" I asked softly.

'Of course," I said in a shocked voice. "Why wouldn't I?"

I shrugged

I sighed. " Stay with me Margaret," I said. "At least stay a while."

I kept walking

I sighed and walked behind her. Just one single pace behind but behind none the less.

I looked at the different gardens.

We passed the peach trees that were just starting to bloom. The water lilies that had the crocking toads on their pads. And the apple orchards that were just at the peak of the harvest.

I sat down under one of the trees.

I smiled and sat down next to her. "The Queen wants to meet you," I said softly.

"the white Queen?"

I nodded. "Yeah," I said. "She'll be here before the end of the week. She wants to be sure you're safe."

"Why does she care about my safety?"

"Because if word gets out that you are the sister of Alice the Red Queen will come looking for blood." I lean back against the tree and look up. "She also wants to honor you in the best way that she can."

I nodded..."tell me more of this Red Queen"

I frowned. "She was interested in... live magic," I said.

"Live magic?"

"Yes," I said. "How do I describe the horrors she did?" I paused thinking. "She had a temper. A very bad one. And a big head. All three of those put together made her a bad queen to say the least. She was greedy. Selfish. Horrid in every way."

"Sounds like she needs to be beheaded."

I looked at her wide eyed. Then I sighed and closed my eyes. "The White Queen... she.... her vows she made when she took the throne forbid her from doing such a thing. She promised to never harm a living creature. To behead her sister... if she passed a judgment such as that she would have to give up the throne."

"Oh....Sorry" I said softly..

"It's alright," I said softly.
