Eternity is a Long Time 1x1

I nodded "Okay." I said and walked into my room grabbing some clothes. "I am going to change first then we will start the tour and the questions." I said and walked into the bathroom to change. I walked back out.

" Why do you want to help me, what do you have to gain from it?" i shot off as soon as he was back. It was a question that bugged me. Most vamps kept to themselves or only cared about themselves. So why was he helping me?

I looked at her. "I'm helping you because I was just like you over 500 years ago. No mamter what no one should live like that, killing anything for food. THe exchange of blood should be an amazing thing, but if the intent is to kill it is not."

" You may have been down this road, what vampire doesn't eventually. But my reasoning was because i was betrayed." before i knew it, i was talking about my problems. He was easy to talk to.

I was listening to her. I pulled her over to the sitting area so that we could sit down and talk. "Tell me how you were betrayed."

I let him pull me to a seat and i sat making myself comfortable. " After i became this and learned to control the blood lust. I got engaged." i leaned back in the chair and stared at the floor. " to a human who had promised to always love me and loved me regardless of what i was. By that time i was rich." i stopped and looked up at Roman i wasn't exactly sure if i wanted to continue.

I looked at her, listening. "Its okay, " I said. I leaned in wanting to know what happened, "Did he hurt you?" I asked and for some reason that made me really angry.

" He only loved me because i was filthy rich. We had been together for ten years and that whole time that's all he wanted. He threatened me several times with exposing me. Trying to kill me..." i stopped because i had started to get upset. It was like i was reliving it all over again.

I kneeled down infront of her and wipped the tears off her face. "Is he dead?" I asked her because if her wasn't then he was going to be. What person in their right mind, did that to a person.

I sighed. " I killed him, and he's mainly the reason i am the way i am." i said the tears didn't stop falling but anger flew through me. " Ten years." i muttered.

I looked at her "Good, because a person like that doesn't deserve to live. That is the thing you have to get past." I looked at her. "If you can get over the guy, and let other people get close to you then you wont be like you were." I told her looking her in the eyes.

" I have let others get close to me, and they've done the same thing." i looked away from him. " Once you tell someone something big that you think they can trust..." i sighed and looked up at him. " I don't want to get hurt again."

I looked at her "If I promise not to hurt you, will you let go?" I asked her "Will you not be so guarded?" She looked like she carried such a burden with the knowledge she held.

" They made promises too. What would be the difference with you." i eyed him.

"because I went through somewhat of the samething," I Said

"really?" i didnt know if i could trust him

I looked away. "Um... yeah." I said

"Prove it." i countered. I needed to know if i could trust him why should i be an open book when he isn`t?

I sighed and sat back in my chair starring at the wall. "It was the last time I was here. I had just gotten here and I met Victoria, she was beautiful, life no other I had seen before." I started to go back to that night. "She said she loved me and I asked her father for her hand, when he said no I told her what her father said and that is when her father presented her with another option, he was a prince and I just had money that I had aquired over the years. She saw him with money and I was nothing." I looked down. "I killed this prince and I started to change her into a vampire but she spit in my face and told me she would rather be dead then be with a vampire."

I stared at him. Moved by his story. " I'm sorry." i said lightly and looked at him. The pain that vampires endured over time wasn't fair.

I looked at her. "Its fine. See I'm over it." I said. "Its the little things that bother me now... like this clicking of a pen... or someone popping their gums. I don't worry about Victoria anymore. She is of the past."

I sighed as i looked away. " Well this was a good talk. " i said wiping away the last few of my tears. " How about that tour?" i didn't want to talk anymore. He was so easy to talk to i could spill out my soul to him. But i had only known him for barely a day, i didn't think that was fair.

I nodded to her and stood up, "Well clearly this is my room," I said and walked into the hallway all of these door down this hallway are locked. I don't know why, but apparently they are locked for a reason." I said wasn't really anything on this floor. "Lets go downstairs."

" I see." i nodded as i followed him downstairs. " Why would you want to stay someplace that has memories in it?" i asked absent mindlessly as i followed at his side

"Because being here was the only time I remember being happy." I said and walked around "This is the kitchen and the dinning room."
