"She's the one who hit me." I said softly.

I blinked. I swore and looked at her. "Why?"

"You don't get it." I said

I looked at her. "oh trust me," I said. "I get it. This is just the kind of thing that Amber would do. I just want to know why she did it."

"She told me why but you wont like what she said." I said in a whisper.

"It's not like I'm gonna beat her up," I said. "If it were someone who I knew well enough to hold themselves up in a fight against me I would. But not her."

"She um..told me I wasn't your type and stuff..." I whispered.

I blinked and then frowned. I looked out the windshield and ran the words through my head a few times before I said, "She had no right."

"I don't think you understood the first time.......She wants to control who you date....." I whispered.

I swore under my breath again. "I'll talk to her," I said. Then the words set in. "Are we dating?"

I sighed. "I dont even really know you nor do you know me." I said.

I nodded. "Alright," I said. "But that is just another reason why she can't chose who I'm dating because I'm not dating anyone!"

"We could stage dating...I haven't been on good terms with her since 4th grade."

I nodded. "I would be fine with it," I said. "Just promise to tell me if something like this happens again."

"I can't promise anything."

"Please," I said looking at her softly.

"Next time she slaps and threatens me I might not be able to control myself." I said.

"Go ahead and slap her back for all I care," I said.

"I'd go further than slapping her"

"Go ahead for all I care," I said. Then I sighed. "Get out of the driver's seat."

"Why? this is my car."

"Because I want to drive," I said.

"Why should I let you drive my Ford Mustang GT?"

"Because if you trust me you wont regret it," I said. "And it's not like i'm going to drive off without you."

"What are you going to do if I let you?"
