I had to sneer at that "you look more lost to me young fella.so what are you really doing out here?"it was too obvious that he was nervous and kinda lost. There was something about him was different...but regardless I didn't just want to leave him out here on his own.

I sniffed a little at her words. Yeah, I get that I wasn't exactly 'old'. "I'm not really attached to any tribe," I replied. Wasn't going to say why though.

I thought a moment...he is not in a tribe which was good enough for me."oh well...good...so...um...are you hungry?...I don't mind sharing." I grinned wolfish as much a wolf can grin and got up.
"No worries I won't hurt you if you don't do the same" I winked. He looked so lost...

Now that I thought about it, it had been awhile since I last ate. Plus, she seemed OK...I think. It was nice to have someone around. "Yeah, I guess"

we walked the way back to the camp. The fire only glimmed and needed wood so I went behind my bike shifted and got dressed. I cucked a few bits of wood into the embers reviving the fire. I took a blanket out of my backpack and threw it over to him. He watched me in silence.
I took out a pan and two tins of soup that I got in the last village I passed.
"You can sit...warm up...I'll get this ready and...you want coffee?' Showing him the little sachets of instant coffee.
"Sorry no starbucks though"
It wasn't always a good idea to pick up stranges but it wasn't the first time...and he seemed nice enough.

I took the blanket and wrapped it around me. It was a lot warmer than just lying on a log. No one had really shown me this much kindness before. The nomads were more like traveling companions. They let you come along but they kept their distance. "Sure, haven't had that in a while"

I smiled at him seeing him relaxing a little. I tool out two metal mugs and filled them up with hot water from the thermos flask. The coffee smell rose up ..how. loved that smell."there you go.."
I passed him his mug and sat opposite him only the fire flikering between us.
The pan with the two half opened cans resting on the embers.
I took a sip of the steeming black magic and sighed. "I am Skylar by the way but Sky will do"

I took a sip of the coffee. It was surprisingly good. But then again, anything was better than nothing during the few times I skipped meals. I stared at the fire for a second. "I'm Ethem"

I leaned back against my bike and wrapped my hands around the mug squinting at the boy.
"Ethem...unusual name but I guess that goes with the unusual owner " I grinned putting my mug down. i took my guitar again and tuned it...the cold air never helped. i played a little until the soup was ready.
I took it off the pan and handed it to him. "Careful..the can is really hot..."I was used to it, never burned myself aymore.

"I guess that's because I am strange" I laughed, adjusting the blanket to keep from falling off. I took one last sip of the coffee and set the mug down. I felt comfortable around this girl for some reason.

"yea...that could be it." The soup warmed up my body and felt good.
"Strange works for me....better than ordenary" I made a face..."so any place that you are heading to? i can give you a ride tomorrow." I patted my chopper.

I stirred the soup to cool it off a little. "Yeah, I guess," I laughed. "I'm not really heading anywhere specific. Just seeing where the road takes me, y'know, all that adventure stuff and all."

I daudelled (SP?) To my favourate spot. I thought I heard chatter, but then decided it was the wind playing tricks on me. Well it had to have been, no one else has been out here for a while, they're all worried about the prophecy and marrige and eesh.
I made it to the clearing, I couldn't see anyone around. I went right into the middle and layed down in the warm grass.

I squinted at him again...then sat up, crossed my legs and looked into his eyes"ok here is the deal. i don't ask what happened before we met, we all got our little secrets and all..let's put that behind...but when you talk to me you better stop pretending and that little adventure thing...sorry but you don't fool me" I grinned ."believe me...I am on the road a bit too long and can distinguish between an adventurer and a runner... "I winked at him " been there, done that, and u are unprepared, lost, starved, exhausten and god knows."
I moved closer to him to make my point more clear " look Ethem, I don't mean any harm, I share my food and share my water, I don't give a damn about where you come from or where you are.going BUT! Do not try to fool me..." i sat back again and took my guitar. There it was again...my temper issues...but hell I hate it when people do that.

Up front and centre. Wow. I thought in amazement. I glanced up at the sky. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you. It's not exactly something that's gotten me anywhere. People tend to avoid people like me, they think I'm a freak. Plus if a lot of people knew, things would get out of hand." I sighed. "Not to be dramatic or anything"

I laughed "bring it on sweetheart, surprise me. So you know ...I don't have friends to gossip with"I made a face, gossip never my thing.."those two are my friends" indicating to my bike and.my beloved instrument..."and the only time they talk is when they run out of fuel or need tuning."
I laid at my back and looked at the sky.

"OK, that's good enough for me" I shrugged, leaning against a nearby tree "A few years ago I was attacked while exploring the forest. I was being stupid, wandering farther than I should have. These rogues appeared and that's all I remember from that. Didn't think anything of the incident when I came to. I was lying next to some river covered in claw marks and there were broken bits of rusty chains scattered all around me. They Broke me."

I quickly sat up staring at him...all I ever heard were rumors, stories...I didn't even know how they do it or what comes out of it but it was a big no no.
And here there is this young teenage boy sitting in front of me telling me he went through that.
"Ok ..no $hit...you win...point goes to you...you do surprise me." I got up and walked over to where he leaned aginst the tree. i looked him up and down and closer at his face.
"Those bastards.." I said through gritted teeth and sat on a nearby rock.
"So ... What do they do? I mean all I hear is rumors...what does it really mean for you?"

"I don't particularly remember the gory details but all I can recall is the pain It's like your nerves and veins are on fire and add the feeling you're being electrocuted. They forced me to phase through some sort of magical means I think and chained me with silver." I looked down at the ground. It wasn't something I liked to bring up. "These scars are the only evidence that it happened."

My nails bit into the rock leaving marks. Anger control wasn't my strength but I was getting better at it. I met some rogues before and the memories weren't always pretty...most of them jus mere idiots...cavemen must have had better manners...but this was far from what I expected.
Silver chains ..I stood up and had a closer look at his scars touching them gently.this was a boy who should enjoy being a teenager and his first love dramas...not having to run from himself.
"So what are tou trying to do about this?...just run?"
I didn't give a damn about tribes and old prophecies...they distroyed a life that hardly began...

"I wish running were that simple," I muttered. "I can't phase without having that disgusting voice ordering me around and causing me more pain if I disobey. So far as I know, there's no cure for this. Or if there is it's a secret." I was sick and tired of the whole ordeal. It drained more energy out of me than I had.

I sat down and thought..."ok...summary...you phase you hear that voice and have to listen to it...you don't it causes you pain...so you rather don't phase at all..." I could not imagine not wanting to live my wolf but I got an idea of how miserable he must feel. "hm...sure there is no cure?! well I guess there would be only one...and can't call death a cure..."...this was tricky..."you know what...why don't you take a rest before you fall over...cure or no cure...tomorrow is a new day"
I patted his shoulder and set up the sleeping bag." You rest, I keep watch..come on..what are you waiting for" I smiled.
