Royal Blood

Rose started to read the passage in the workbook when she looked up to see Eva. She was confused thinking she should be Sky. Then again Sky didn't think he needed protecting but, she was always the one who insisted on him being careful. After all he was the last guy as far he and I and everyone knew of royal blooded vampires. "Everything alright?" She asked Eva.

She looked back at Seto. "Sure, I wouldn't mind that all." Rose already knew what to expect and prepared herself for the lies she may have to say. It isn't she wants to lie to Eva. She was taught at a young age who to tell and each day she wished for someone to prove to her that she can trust them. Lately, was a entirely different story.

Claudia had been turning the golden cloth this way and that before lifting it and removing all traces of the tears she had shed. His words made her pause, sniffling once before looking around; eyes widening in surprise at the sight of the tombstones and more beyond the opening of the this garden's entrance. A soft exclamation of surprise was all she managed when the pieces came together- all but one that is. "What are you doing here then? I highly doubt you came after me to return this," she said, motioning to the handkerchief in her hand. He was a mean boy that had hurt her feelings and she wasn't the forgiving sort- at least not right away. She sighed, maybe Prince Sky would be a lot nicer than this savage.

Seto merely gave the girls a look and went back to the work that had yet to be finished. This was all far beyond easy and if he was motivated enough he was going to demand the advanced classes. When Rose left him, he had noticed that a few girls were giving him the dreamy eye stare and all he could do was sigh quietly. None of them had anything he hadn't already had and that disappointed him greatly. Still, this Rose person might prove to be the right amount of challenge and the fact that that guy seemed to have a thing for her made the challenge worthwhile. He smiled and a girl two seat in front and to the right thought it was for her and blushed beet red.

Sky frowned and blinked a few times before getting up and shaking his head. “I’m here for reasons, and no it wasn’t to give you back your stupid handkerchief.” He muttered, stepping over the stone bench in one easy leap and leaning over the koi pond. It had been here since he remembered, same with the rose bush, the one he plucked the rose from – he’d do that every time he came here. Pick a rose from the bush and plant it perfectly in the middle of the front of the tombstone. He didn’t know why, it was just how it was. He sighed and watched the fish crowd around where his shadow lay across the water, begging for food. He would usually feed them and bring a water plant every now and then to keep them satisfied, but this time, he supposed he forgot because of the state he was in. He just wanted to see his parents, get comfort maybe, to show him that everything was still worth fighting for. Instead, however, he got the blubbering idiot from earlier and the judging eyes of his mother as he continued to be rude to her. “You should probably leave, you know. You’re disturbing the dead.” He said, quite bitterly, not taking his eyes off of the fish in the pond.

(Haha, trust me, the prettiest koi's are the silver/black ones. ^^)

She rose then, the anger that had sparked within her at the mention of her "stupid handkerchief" had reached it's peak. She didn't know why, but this kid was rubbing her the wrong way and she had enough. No one. No one was allowed to speak to her like this and she would let him know it. "How anyone could think a crying girl in a cemetery could disturb the dead is beyond me, but you!" She stepped closer, her own shadow soon joining his. "Your negative aura is enough to turn anyone in their grave!" Claudia pushed him then with all the force of a vampire and hoped with all her might that he fell in. Then maybe, just maybe, the koi fish could pick at his mean aura and make him a nicer person for it. "If those two had a say they probably wouldn't want you anywhere near them!" She pointed at the graves of his parents -not knowing it was his parents- to make sure he knew who he was disturbing and turned on her heel and began her march out of this place; wanting to put as much distance between them as she could.

))I know there's different color koi, I just think that this pond having one single white with a red crown koi would make it unique and precious. ((

Sky held his balance very well, probably due to the fact he knew she would do something of that sort and also because he was a royal, his strengths were much stronger than her strengths. He turned around just to watch her leave and gave a small smile. “Thank god.” He muttered to himself. At least he could be alone with the people he wanted to so dearly now. He waited until she had left the graveyard completely before turning around back at the fish. He chewed his bottom lip for a moment, scanning the area for something to feed them with. A small plant caught his eye by the edge of the pond. He shrugged and ripped a few leaves off of it and chucked it into the pond. The fish instantly swarmed around the food, nibbling it hungrily. “Sorry, I’ll bring you something better next time.” He said to them, regardless of the fact they didn’t understand.

Sky let out a small sigh and turned his head to the side and towards his parent’s tombstone. He walked over slowly and sat down next to the towering marble, resting his head against the cold material. “I know,” he started, to what someone would’ve seen to nobody in particular, “but, I’m having a bad day.” He placed his hand over the rose on the graves bed and held it tightly.

(Of course. I actually have a koi that's red with a white dot on it's head, hah)

Sky sat with his eyes closed and his ears shut to the world, his mind only concentrating on the things his parents would’ve done for him. How he wouldn’t need those moronic protectors to follow him around everywhere. How things would just be different and how they’d still rule the vampire community because they were strong. How just one look of his mother’s smiling face would calm the anger which built inside him… He had no outlet now. It just raged within him and he took it out on everything he could, the only person able to stop him now is Rose. But they both have their issues, he couldn’t rely on her all the time to stop him from saying the wrong thing and being absolutely horrid to someone, instead, it just fell out like water flowing freely from the tap.

He’d pushed everyone away from him since that night he found them dead, bathing in their own blood on the kitchen floor, the knives the man had used to cut out their precious beating heats laying next to them. Sky couldn't trust anybody after that, he even had his own doubts about Rose. It was different now, how he held so tightly onto that rose with his other arm pressed against the cold marble, like as if he held on long enough, it would all disappear and his mother would be standing over him, her arms wide open and ready to embrace her son. But of course, that would never happen. He clenched his jaw and his hands grew even tighter around the plant, its thorns digging into his palm, almost enough so to pierce the tough skin of a royal.

He didn’t notice the red headed girl peering over him at all.

She linked her arm with Eva smiling. Was she happy at this moment? Of course not. Fear still filled her thoughts and that horrible man gave her the creeps. You know what she wanted? Her parents, they would ease her nervous by making her stand up and dance with her father. Her mother would sing and before Rose knew it she had forgetten all about what was bothering her. She knew that could be no more... her parents were underground, dead but together so they are not alone. Rose was though. Verik was a nice guy and was sweet to her but he wasn't family. Eva was the sister she never had but still it did fill in the gap in her heart. Then there was Sky... he wasn't family but he still made her feel like she wasn't alone. Sky was like her though so, it explains how they get along. At times Sky gave her the vibe it was something more but, Rose knew him to well so, he just was there for her when it was an emergacy nothing more. Sky, kept to himself and disliked the protectors with passion. She believed he blamed them for not keeping his parents alive but, she wouldn't know she never asked him a question to bring up his past and in return he did the same. When Sky was having a good day he would smile and actually say nice things to everyone. Days like those were rare though. She got lost into thought thinking about her best friend... though that title didn't seem to fit their relationship it was something more then that Rose knew. She just couldn't wrap her thoughts around the idea. Letting the thoughts of Sky fade away. She walked with Eva waiting for her to ask those questions she was expecting.

)) I find it hilarious that this has turned into everyone wanting one another. First the twist was suppose to be that the royals fall for their protectors, but now it looks like the royals are falling for each other and the Note siblings are falling for the royals but no one is falling for the protectors. XD Haha, ah love. Such a fickle thing. ((

Claudia shook her head, breaking the tight hold the scene had on her. The crushing weight of sorrow and anger was suffocating and if she didn't get out of there, she would fall victim to the same feelings that had Sky. With another shake of her head, those locks of dark crimson quivering swaying from side to side, Claudia walked away; only her super secret exit of ninja silence was broken by a treacherous twig. It snapped with all the sound of elephants stampeding through walls at a All Kinds of Bricks museum! She squeaked like a mouse and not waiting to see him turn around, Claudia took off at a brisk walk towards the school determined to find her brother.

Rose blinked in surpise of what she was hearing. She wasn't expecting her to ask about Sky. "Sky is a guy as you may of noticed these past years and believes he is able to take care of himself. Also is independent and isn't the type of guy to lets people come close to him. It took me years to understand but I eventally did. I'm truly sorry about the way he treats you... I don't know why either. I never asked him." Rose sat down on a stone bench looking up to Eva as she explained what she knew about Sky to her. In the back of her mind all she could think about break that was soon to come. Her plans were already set... she was planning to vist her parents for the first time in 50 years. School doesn't get in the way her emotions do which prevent her from going to see her parents. The reason is that is where the graves is also the home she grew up in and also the place where she- stopping herself there before she knew she would ruin her day.

(Yes it most definatly is. ha.)

She hugged Eva. "Don't let him get to you alright? It'll be okay. I'll help him realize that he need you." Roise smiled and squeezed her shoulder. "Well, speaking of Sky. I might as well go see where he is. Care to help me find him?" She asked Eva. It was the least she could do to help Eva feel welcome and important. Rose got up from the bench and waited for her response.

(I won't reply until you guys have found him, I'll make it so he hears the snap of the twig and see's you guys at the same time. ^^)

"I'm glad to here that. As for him talking to Claudia. He has finally starting looking for a partner. I am not surpised. That new girl seemed like something new he hasn't seen." Rose smiled but something in her thoughts told her that it wasn't a happy thing. Why wouldn't it be? Sky was finally getting on with his life maybe even growing out of him not wanting to be tied down. It should be a happy thing but, her thoughts- no it wasn't that at all so it must be her heart. She started to wonder why her heart would care and came to the conclusion she cares about him. Cares? It was more complicated then that and more confusing emotions she rather not wish to deal with which is why Rose didn't give it much thought.

(Okay dokey! Sounds good.)

)) I'ma wait a bit too. You guys can see Claudia walking back into the school, but she won't hear anyone 'cause she's determined to find her bro. I kind of want to bring in their mom and stuff later. XD ((

She nodded in response and walked along side Eva as she lead her to where Sky was. "Eva, this is just a random question but do you like Sky?" Rose hadn't meant to be nosey and ask her a personal question she just was looking for answers. It was a unusual thing she rarely did but, when it did happen it was for a good reason.

I stoped walking and looked at her. She definatelly wasnt expecting her to ask Eva a question like that. "Ummm... why do you ask?" she said a little nervouse.

(Gotta go, goodnight!)

She started regretting what she said. That was a horrible question of you to ask her. She thought to herself. "You know what. I'll just talk to you about this later. I apoglize for asking such a rude question." Rose smiled at her and then turned seeinf Sky at his parents grave. Well, that would explain where he has been. She watched him not wanting to ruin his moment with his parents. Sky looked sad it wasn't anything new it just made her sad as well seeing him like this. There wasn't anything she could do if there was she would of done something to help his grief.
