I made my way from the class room to where the girls went considering I gave them enough tine to leave me behind.

The sound of the twig being crunched against the ground seemed the echo in the deserted cemetery. He frowned and opened one eye slightly, trying to see who the culprit was, but to be honest, he didn’t want to move from the position he had set himself in. It was comfortable to be able to lay here with his parents and regardless of being completely vulnerable to attacks, he felt safe; he didn’t mind if he died here. But the urge of his curiosity burned in his veins until he gave in. He sighed and turned his head, noticing the two girls who he had known for most of his life alone – Rose and Eva. He groaned at the sight of the protector and pressed his forehead back against the black marble.

Rose felt a little gulity for leaving her protector behind knowing she will have to make it up to him later. He would find her eventally plus she wasn't alone she was with Eva so she wouldn't have much to make up for. She saw Sky's eyes look to Eva and then pull away his gaze to press his head back to the stone but, that didn't stop her from walking over and touching his shoulder with her hand. That was to only show him that she was there. "Sky... being here alone is dangerous. You know I worry about your safety. I understand you wish to be with your parents and I'll leave as soon as I can so you can have your time alone. I just wish for you to see that there are people who want to protect you." Her hand still stayed on his shoulder while her light blue eyes watched him.

Sky felt a warm hand grace itself upon his shoulder and sound of Rose’s sweet voice flowed through his ears. He didn’t even have to listen to know what she was saying. He let out a small sigh and turned his dark eyes to look into her light ones. “I’m done.” He said and stood up, his frame now considerably taller than the other royals, causing her hand to slip off his shoulder and down his back. He kept own hand against the stone for a moment before gently nudging Rose out of the way and walking back down the path towards the exit of the cemetery. He didn’t even give a second glace to the two protectors standing there, Eva watching them intensely whilst Verik, obviously, like usual, had other things on his mind. Sky muttered something inaudibly about the protectors before walking through the large iron gates and out into the street.

She hurried following him out of the gate. "Your done? That's all you have to say? Wow Sky! Wow! It's not just something you can ignore! Were being hunted, killed, slaughtered for our special blood. Our lives are in danger. Being the only guy royal blooded vampire I know is alive you need to take charge and be the man I know your going to grow up to be. Call the shots but allow the protectors to keep you safe. You refuse and that just leaves you out in the open for your predators to get what they want from you. Then same happened to our parents. I'm not saying to learn from their death you know I don't go a single day without thinking of my-" Her voice cut her off in her speech. Father and mother. She said the rest in her head and then tried to speak again and nothing could come out her month. Looking away from Sky. "Don't be an idiot alright? I-I care." She wanted to add about you but she knew Sky would proubly overrect.

Sky stopped in his tracks half way down the road and turned around to look at Rose. He took a few steps towards her, her feet echoing loudly against the deserted and quiet atmosphere. And slowly, his eyes met hers. “I don’t.” He said, the words lingering in the air like a gunshot sound. “I don’t care!” He repeated, his voice becoming louder with each word. “Why can’t we just die out like them?!” The question fell from between his lips before he had time to stop it. “Why do we have to be protected? Why can’t I just be with them instead of being to fight my entire life because I was born into something I can’t control – something I didn’t choose?! Why, Rose?” His jaw tensed as he looked away from Rose’s face. He had just yelled at her, something he hadn’t done since he found his parents dead. He knew why, it had been playing on his mind for long enough, regardless of having people who understood his situation, he felt so alone. That new girl, Claudia, had proved that to him today. He didn’t have anybody he truly wanted; those people were dead, buried underneath that tombstone he’d just left behind.

Rose was unsure how to react. Sky never yelled at her and she thought about yelling at him back but, it would only make things worse. "It just happened. Don't yell at me. Do you think I wanted this for myself? No! I want to be able to trust maybe even have someone who loves me! Live a normal life! I don't have that! I lost the people I trust and love the most to a horrible man who wanted me to belong to him! I'm scared Sky! Every day that man will come and take me away." That was when Rose realized tears were streaming down her cheeks. She couldn't beileve she was crying in front of him. "I-I can't lose you too Sky. You are all I have... What would your parents think if you left to be with them?" Rose looked straight into his eyes not caring if they were filled with tears.

The male royal watched as his only companion fell into tears in front of him. It wasn’t fair for them both to have to live this horrendous life – to have to keep fighting the people they were scared of so much. It was obvious the two royals had different ways of dealing with their difficulties. Rose would hallucinate, her biggest fear coming to life right before her eyes, and Sky would try to demolish everything in his path, even the relationships with the people he probably cared for the most and that meant Rose too. He frowned at the girls’ outburst. “You can join them too, you know?” He muttered the only thing which popped into his mind. Perhaps it was a bit morbid, but he couldn’t help but tell her the truth. He was probably the only person to do so.

((Sky's being depressive, blame Claudia.))

"Sure. I could. Want to watch?" Rose offered and pulled out the knife she hid in her pocket her eyes stayed on him. "If I were to stab myself then all the problems would go away right? No! The ones who are hunting us would win. I don't know about you but, I want to be the one who wins in the end." She held the knife tightly in her hand. His behavior was starting to effect her. No matter what she said he wouldn't seem to understand. She made him fall to his knees only because he was taller then her she wanted him to look at her at level. She pulled him into her arms not caring if he wouldn't like it. He needed comfort and he needed someone. As for her knife it was still in her hand for some reason Sky words shook her up. Flowing through her head like a catchy tune expect this was a choice she could chose for herself. As much as she wanted to be with her beloved parents she knew she must stay for the ones who need her. "Don't let others get to you Sky. Be the strong man I know you are." She whispered in his ear. Encouraging words might be helpful but, how Sky would reacted was up to him.

)) I only ask because I am a sick and twisted man and want the royals to see Claudia and Seto have a surprise visit from their mother and how loving she is to her babies. XD I'll also add something about the dad/murderer and his secret life. If you gals don't mind. ((

The young vampire watched as Rose reacted to his, some-what harsh words before he felt the gravel connect with his knees and the warm arms of the girl before him wrapped around his hard torso. It almost made him melt into her embrace and let her comfort him – but he couldn’t let himself do that. It wasn’t right for him to do that. He was weak in the need to survive, yes, but he wasn’t in the need not to hurt himself any more than what had already been done. He wouldn’t allow himself to open up to anyone, not fully. Rose knew a great deal about him, but times like these, she wouldn’t be able to sort out his problems; just like he wouldn’t be able to sort out hers. Sky’s body stayed as stiff as a board as the other royal hugged him, not saying anything in response. That was the only way you could tell he listened to her words.

His reaction didn't surpise her she expected it from him. He wasn't the type of guy who would welcome in this from girls. From when she first meet him he attracted the ladies but he didn't seem to notice them. Rose wouldn't blame him she didn't want a single thing to do with other vampires either. But now she wanted to help him but, she couldn't even help herself. Which was pretty pathetic of herself when she was raised to take care of herself. Why did she want to help him when it was obvious he doesn't want it?

Rose, hold your head up and show no weakness. The Royal killers will use it to their advantage. She heard her father's voice. It caused her to rest her head on Sky's shoulder staring off into the distance. She hadn't meant to do such thing but she missed hearing her father's voice so, she replyed it again and again until the voice just seem to fade until it was completely gone. Then Rose didn't want to go back to the world without him.

"Daddy..." she whispered fighting the tears again. Thoughts of him rushed foward and made it very overwhelming for her. She wanted her father to pick her up and hold her in her loving embrace while calling her the nickname he gave her which was Flower. Her vision was blurred with the memories with her father. "Daddy! Help me!" Rose yelled unaware that he was dead for a mintue. It was almost like he was there reaching for her but she knew better. She didn't want Sky to see this. "Go away now." She demanded as she tried hard not to give away that there were more tears to come. "If you don't I will." and her voice cracked she pulled away from Sky quickly and stared at the ground while on her hands and knees. All she could think of was how pretty the ground looked. Keep yourself together. but at this moment she didn't know how to do it.

(Ehh sorry about making her all emotional and sensitive. I'll make sure she isn't always like this. Pinky promise.)

Class had been done and over with, Seto carried Rose's book in one hand while his other rested comfortably in a pocket. His schedule had claimed lunch would be next, but the message he had received from the front office had told him, and his sister, to meet in the gardens for a surprise visit. It had caused him to sigh at the time, not in the mood for any more surprises today, but there was nothing he could do about it and once class was over he had set off to find Claudia. He had worried briefly about her whereabouts, having investigated that she had missed all of her morning classes, but then he took it as her being a bit over-dramatic from the first class and set off on an easy pace to find her.

Claudia had stopped in the ladies room to clean her face free of any evidence that would betray she had been crying this entire time. The cold water felt soothing to her flushed skin and the puffiness that had gathered around her eyes was soon diminishing with every second the cold water was dabbed around them. Once her appearance was to her liking again, Claudia exited the restroom and ran straight into her brother. "Seto!"

Seto's free hand went out quickly to make sure his precious sister remained steady on her feet as they collided. "Claudia, watch where you're going." He sighed, head shaking slightly as he released her and started to walk in the direction of the gardens, which he had learned was under some big clock outside- he had received directions from a girl that practically swooned as he talked to her. "We got a date with a mystery surprise, come on." He waved for her to follow and continued on, keeping a pace she could easily match without getting annoyed.

"Ah, wait!" It had happened so quickly -colliding, being steadied, released, and now being left behind. She gathered her bearings and followed after her brother asking for an explanation he refused to give opting instead to hand her the note from the front office. "Oh! Do you think it's Daddy?!" She exclaimed, suddenly animated at the prospect of seeing her father. But to her dismay, Seto had started to shake his head and that's when she remembered her father was out of town and wouldn't be returning for another two weeks. "Well, who else would want to see us during school hours?" It really was a wonder, but that's when it hit her and she beamed, taking hold of Seto's arm as they walked through some double doors. "It's mother! I'm sure of it."

Seto's eyes shut in annoyance for a brief moment, it sounded like something their mother would do and he was disappointed that he hadn't thought of it earlier. "Yeah, I bet you're right." As he opened his eyes, the large clock came to view with what looked to be every color available to flowers in a horseshoe formation. As much as Seto would have loved to avoid an embarrassing scene with his mother, Claudia was pulling him along even faster now and if he left, she would give him that look that always managed to make him feel guilty- even if he had done nothing wrong.

Claudia had seen the tall and statuesque woman before Seto and was already sprinting to the woman, calling out in joy of a doted on child. "Mother!" Claudia was giggling with joy as the woman opened her arms to take her only daughter into her arms in what can only be described as a loving embrace. The younger vampire absolutely adored her mother and held on tight until she heard Seto step up and clear his throat. Claudia chuckled and gave him an apologetic smile. "Sorry for leaving you behind. But I was right, Seto! It is mother!"

Seto spared his sister a grin before turning his clear eyes to their mother. Lenore de la Note stood at a shocking six-foot two-inches, had raven black hair that fell in multiple layers down to her waist in waves and inconsistent curls, her complexion was a gentle olive tone that was rare among the vampire clans, but Lenore's most striking feature was her eyes and the vibrant green they happened to be. "Wonderful to see you here, mother. I hope you had a pleasant trip." He was sickeningly polite as he stepped forward to give her cheek a light kiss. He seriously hoped no one was around to see this teeth-decaying scene. It would severely damage his image- or the image he was attempting to make in this new school.

Lenore smiled lovingly at her children, Seto in particular as he stepped away from her. She knew her visit had been unexpected, but something had happened that couldn't wait until another time. She motioned for them to sit with her at a table the school had provided upon her request. With Claudia's hand entangled in hers, Lenore took a seat and waited for Claudia's endless stream of questions die down enough for her to speak without interruption. Before she began though Lenore looked at her children quietly, noticing Seto's silent embarrassment immediately and smiling as she takes his hand in hers giving the top a gentle kiss. His cheeks turn red, shoulder relaxing and resigning himself to the visit as his sister had. Satisfied, Lenore speaks about the goings-on at home now that they're away and delaying the moment a bit longer before saying what she had come here to say.

Sky heard Rose’s voice, but this time it wasn’t towards him. He frowned and looked up, expecting there to be somebody, or something along those lines, but there wasn’t, so he assumed she was having another one of her moments. He soon felt her body drift away from his and a few more words spill from her between her lips. She had asked him to leave, but he couldn’t. He sat there and looked at her, as she slumped down onto the pavement, staring at the uneven gravel. He shuffled, still on his knees, over to her and wrapped his arms around her stomach before straightening out his legs and pulling her onto his lap. He suppressed the sigh which formed in his throat. “I’m not going to leave.” He muttered, his fingers absentmindedly smoothing out her brunette locks.

((It's okay, Midnight. They've had a pretty hard life. I think we're both guilty for making them depressive and sensitive at the moment. xD

(~ponders~ I got it! An attack on the school... BUT right after Sky and Rose see Seto's and Claudia's mother be all affectionate and sweet to them man they are going to have a rough day... and Saura, it's alright. No need to feel bad about your posts. They're perfectly fine.)


Her body didn't react strangely to his touch it was something he always did. Its meaning was just for comfort and only that since Rose knew better to think it was anything else. Although, him saying he wouldn't leave made her think maybe she does mean something to him. Sky... the only guy she knew would catch her when she falls apart then helps her back on her feet. Rose's thoughts went to him while her father's aquamarine eyes faded away but still her heart yearned for something that could never return. Surprisingly no tears came but that was only because she was forcing herself not to cry. Being a Royal means being strong for those who can't be. Not wanting to walk away from what was happening she curled up in his lap, rested her head on his shoulder again and continued blinking every few seconds to prevent tears. Being strong at this moment seemed to difficult but she must for Sky.

Over the years Rose felt like her life was filled with more gaps then she realized. Three things to be exact which was knowledge trust and as much as she hated to admit it love. Her parents loved her with their hearts but as for everyone else they may have thought she was stunning and wished for her to steal their hearts but that wasn't love. Love...that was a complicated thing that seemed to always tug at her heart every once awhile. It annoyed her but she managed just like going without blood for weeks. As for knowledge she wasn't taught much about the dangers she had to learn about those herself. Every day she knew there were other complicated and unexplainable things that were deadly that she would never know until face to face with it. That worried her greatly... how would she protect herself- wait she couldn't that's exactly why she had Verik, her trustworthy protector. He earned his trust but it took nearly 100 years. Trust once broke could never be fixed. Rose was a girl who didn't believe in second chances Verik was aware and was careful. Still, trust prevented Rose from being free. Verik and she were constantly worrying about her safety and her life.

Being free wasn't an option nor was losing. Still each day Rose hopes freedom will come as well as justice to those who broke her fragile life as well as heart. She sighed and sat in silence in his embrace wanting to say thank you but didn't instead let herself get comfortable for once. On the bright side she got what she wanted to be held by her companion she cared deeply about.

Their easy-going conversations and laughter over tea and sweets was such a picturesque moment that one would think they were taken straight out of a painting and placed in reality for the day. Lenore's musical laughter mingled in with her daughter's as Seto's normally stoic personality crumbled and he too joined in and laughed with them. Claudia had moved closer to her mother and Lenore had taken to braiding her daughter's long crimson hair in an intricate pattern. Seto spoke of his day and how he had met an interesting girl by the name of Rose and of what had transpired when he found her in her dorm room. Claudia told them of the beautiful koi fish, the one with the red crown and immaculate white scales, and how she thought a pond like that would look beautiful in her room back home. Of course, she purposely omitted the rough day with the ill-mannered boy named Sky and of all the tears she had cried because of him. No need to ruin their super-happy-fun-family-time moment with stressful pish-posh.

)) Also, because I'm sure to forget later, I'll be gone for about two weeks. Won't be back until the 7th of April. I don't leave until Monday so I'll be here for the rest of today and tomorrow. Just thought I'd give an early heads up. ((
