Children of the stars (open)

Ben was caught up in the fun fight over the drink when he caught a glimpse of blue hair and a laugh, "Hey!" he smiled and shook sam off his back knocking him into James, He let out a laughed and opened the drink and took a sip, "I win!" He smiled and looked at Alice, "TOld you you were wrong.." He chuckled lightly then James pulled the can from his hands and ran off, "Hey.." Ben shook his head and walked to the two girls one with a dog he smiled, "Ello there, you lovely ladies, and this dog.." he smiled down at the dog sitting at the feet of the one with sunglasses.

Sammy sniffed at him and then decided he was safe and nudged my hand. "Hi. This is Sammy and I'm Leah." I said.

"Bloody hell, what do you win since you were oh so right?" She asked with a giggle as she looked at him.

Ben smiled, "nice to meet you Leah and Sammy, he's better looking then my Sam.." he laughed lightly and looked at Alice a small smile on his face, "Hmm not quite sure miss Alice.."

I watched them silently. I was very sure that this was the guy she told me about.

She giggled and shoved him lightly, shaking her head as she looked around, looking at the scrapes on her hands, them bleeding softly. "Anyone have any bandaids?" She asked.

I looked at Sammy. He was wearing a harness with a zipper on it. I knelt down and looked inside it. "Here." I said as I handed her one.

Ben laughed slightly then stopped seeing her hands, "Did they do this to you?" he asked her hands bleeding lightly.

She tried to take the bandaid but her hands were taken into Ben's. "Yeah, they pushed me down the bleachers, no big deal." She shrugged.

Ben looked at Leah.."thanks.." he took the band-aids and put them on Alice's hands, "This isn't nothing, no man should harm a women, stand correct their merely boys..."He looked at Alice then Leah, "DO they mess with you too?"

"She's not from here, she is the daughter of a famous author." She told him.

Ben glanced at Leah and nodded, "Alright, now I'm done with these punks I'm serious when I say Imma deal with them.." He finished with her hands

"Im fine Ben, really, Im used to it," She told him, "Its happened since I was little, natural blue hair is a little weird." She finished.

I watched them silently. Then my attention went to the sky and the heat of the sun. I always felt like I was storing the heat for the cold nights.

"Well its tome for that to stop, Their is nothing wrong with blue hair it seperates you and makes you different then the average person and that is a good thing in my book.." He looked at Leah.. her mind seemed lost in thought as she looked at the sky.

"I'll live." She tried to tell him as she rubbed her face, shaking her head slightly.

I looked at Ben feeling him staring at me. I was glad I wore sunglasses because another reason I don't have friends is because people claim they see fire in my eyes sometimes and always see something they love burning.

Ben looked back at Alice, "Leah do me a favor if hey do this again to her will you come get me..please? cause Alice yea your live but one day they may go too far alright.."

"Sure. I'll try, but I'm only here for a week so there's not much good in that." I said. "Unless my step mom hasn't told me about it." I mumbled. She never tells me about a move, not until the trucks in front of our house.

She sighed as she shook her head. "Better off dead.." She muttered as she played with her hair.

I looked at her. "Maybe one day you wont feel that way." I said.

"Maybe." She gasped as she was shoved right into Ben. She squeezed her eyes shut incase.

I looked at them but then looked away, not really sure what to do at this moment.

Ben was takaen back by Alice suddenly being shoved into him, he looked up, 'these the guys?" Ben merely asked

She watched guys walk by as she nodded, holding onto Ben so he didn't run to them
