Summer Heartbreak (open)

he shook his head "we're in this together we tell them all together i'm thinking about something" he smiled "i know its not a romantic way or the way i imagined it to be but" he leaned over one knee "will you marry me?"

Kylie's eyes went wide as she smiled brightly,"Yes!"she said.

Derek hugged her tightly he pulled away smiling " we dont have to tell them about the pregnancy we will get married the next week and what do you think?"

Kylie smiled,"Sure,"she said softly.

"lets invite them all to dinner tonight and announce our engagement ?"

Kylie nodded,"Sure,"she smiled as they got in the car,she buckled up.

"how about we go to the restaurant i took you to?"

Kylie smiled,"Sounds great,"she said softly.

"when we get home i'll invite elli and her husband and you invite your parents"

Kylie nodded,"Alright,"she said softly and looked out the window.

Derek frowned he felt that she wasn't that excited "are you okay?"

Kylie gave him a small smile,"Of course,why wouldn't I be?"

"i don't know you don't seem very happy"

Kylie sighed and whispered,"I should warn you.My parents are very rich people,and with that richness comes snobbiness... my father is a proper man but he is easy going.. but my mother not so much.She doesn't like guys like you,"Kylie looked away,"she never has,she has always like those proper guys that do tennis and are clean and don't touch her daughters in ways that shouldn't be done until marriage.But I never went that rule,I alwasy rebelled against what she wanted,because I like the thrill men like you give me.. proper guys are boring while you,you're not.You are what I love,so .. what I'm saying is if my mother gives you a hard time just stick it out I'll be right there beside you.. and be yourself okay?"she looked at him and smiled,"because I want to show my parents the man I fell in love with not some stranger."

Derek said nothing he was trying to process what she just told him, when they reached the house he oulled the car and looked at her "do you mean that i'm not proper? i mean you know that i also come from a rich family and i had obligations as a child, i know how to play tennis golf and polo and i have good manners if i want to"

"That's not what I meant.."Kylie whispered,then sighed,"I'm just saying my mother can be... rude,"she got up and ran a hand through her hair. Could she make him more upset at her? she sighed and walked towards the house,"No wonder Tyler gave me beatings,"she muttered to herself.

he locked the car and followed her in the house "ky i don't care...i love you and that's all that matters to me. i won't let her get to me plus you know me when someone says something i don't like to hear i just pretend i didn't "

Kylie smiled,"Well I just thought I should warn you,"she stopped then turned to him,"you play tennis?And polo? "she asked ,smirking.

"well yeah! in college you only see me playing basket ball but i play other sports too"

Kylie nodded,"Okay.. I always took you for the football,basketball type never took you for a tennis or polo player.."she shrugged,"but anyways."

he smiled " i won't play with you around you're just gonna laugh" he dropped on the couch

Kylie giggled,"No I wouldn't.. I like to watch my dad golf."

derek smiled " what sports or dance do you play?"

"Well I do dance,I also do volleyball,baseball,soccer,and swimming.."Kylie smiled as she leaned into his side.

"oh nice than i think we can play volley sometimes"
