I don't think he's misguided because he KNOWINGLY chooses Darkness. That's like saying a guy that knew what he was doing when he was killing someone isn't a murderer and shouldn't get tried as one.

I dont think he's really evil but I dont think he's really good either. I mean can anyone evil love a person? Even if it was Aya but he loved her and he loved Nyx. He's not eally good because he's killed and raped people. But I really think he wants to stop being what he is but cant because of Neferet

What exactly did Kalona do to get tossed out of Heaven, erm, the Otherworld. Lucifer betrayed God by (what was it?) thinking he was equally powerful or some such? I thought that perhaps Kalona had killed Erebus (which may be why Warriors never mention seeing him yet our HoN: Tulsa sees Nyx a bunch). But then Kalona says something about not expecting Nyx to show up but Erebus to kick his butt out of the Otherworld. And he also says that he always did as Nyx asked except that one time. Do we have any clue what Kalona didn't do that was such a betrayal? It has something to do with his love for her and not feeling he got enough back ...which is what led me to think he'd offed Erebus somehow. And the parallel between Stark's jealousy of Heath made it even more good of an assumption. But if Erebus was dead (and how can an immortal god die?) then Kalona wouldn't have expected Erebus to do the butt-kicking.

No, Kalona was kicked out because he was in love with Nyx and became too possesive. Kind of like Erik with Zoey.

Yea, I don't think Erebus was killed by Kalona.. How could an immortal die? Seems to be like the whole 'where is God' situation in Supernatural. No one knows where He is or how to find Him. The question is does Kalona really truely love Z or is it because she's Aya, someone that belonged to him. Kalona doesn't really know Z, but he knows Aya. Aya was made to be perfect, and therefore he loved her. Seems more like lust than love imo.

Yeah, but now Aya is embodied and imprisoned by another person who isn't letting her be with her man. Evil can come out of that from anger and frustration...

Well, Aya was made for Kalona, to trap him. Kalona just saw Aya and loved her. Imo that's not actually love, but lust. Lust may not exactly be evil, but it's not good either. In fact, I think lust is one of the 7 deadly sins. So I don't think Kalona's capable of really loving someone. At least the kind of love we think. Raphaim is supposed to be his favorite son and he chose Neferet over him. He even claimed to love Neferet for a while, yet it's pretty clear he doesn't love her at all. Maybe he thinks he loves Aya, but he doesn't know the actually meaning of the word.

Exactly! Plus he cried because of Nyx how many evil guys cry because of someone they love? And it says in the book, "He didnt love me. He loved Nyx"

He was also told by Nyx to choose light and then he could go back to her. If he loved Nyx so much you'd think that would be an easy decision to make.
