| Yea, Kalona did choose evil. And he wants to "be with Zoey" but only in a lustful way. And Kalona did choose to be evil when he raped the Cherokee women and enslaved the men. That is choosing to be evil. He has constantly been choosing evil. He twisted the truth to match his goal. He was keeping his promise to Zoey while still attaining his goal to make the council think he was Erebus. Thats not good, you guys. He has been choosing evil and bad for a while. All through the book, in fact.
Not to mention that he admitted to Neferet that he was just playing Zoey. And you might argue "well he said he was bad only with Neferet" and I would tell you no, he didn't SAY that. He asked it. He said it in the form of a question. It wasn't truth. Truth and lies are not in questions. I could say "what if I am a 102 year old black woman in Vegas?" but would you know if it was the truth or if it were a lie? You wouldn't.

@ Claire: Well, Kalona is a bad dude. What do you expect? If he had a shred of good in him, you'd take notice of it. Stark had a shred of good in him and you could see that. Stevie Rae had a shred of good in her and you could blatantly see that. You look at Kalona and you can't see it at all. Zoey is trying too hard to see any good in Kalona. To the point she is squinting to see if she can find it (squinting basically being that she is bending over backwards to find it). If Kalona had any good in him, it died a long time ago. | |
