Stevie Rae & Rephaim

I knew that Rephaim and Stevie Rae would fall for each other since reading Tempted. The chapters from their POVs were the best parts of Tempted and Burned. To me, Rephaim showed signs that he at the very least haboured a crush on Stevie Rae. The ending of the book, just broke my heart. It's so sad, that Rephaim could chose to be good and human but can't do so because of his Father. How the hell is she going to explain the whole Rephaim thing to her fledglings? It's gonna be real hard for her to say those kinds of things to Dragon, especially since he was telling her to be careful and all. She's gonna have to do something, the rest of the Fledglings are going to notice Dallas has turned Evil and stuff.

Nicole said not only that Stevie Rae saved him but that her scent was all over him and seeing as Dallas has this MAJOR complex about not matching the "standards" that a High Priestess's Vampyre Mate should be, which were all in his head and a complete load of bull to boot. He proved right at the end that he's very capable of "protecting his Priestess". I just don't know how he could come to the conclusion that Stevie Rae slept with Rephaim. He didn't stop for one moment and think how was that even possible, Rephaim being part bird and all. Don't get me wrong, i know Raven Mockers are capable of raping women, i just don't know how, Rephaim's covered in feathers for one.

Dallas flipping out the way he did was totally unacceptable. I couldn't help but find it amusing that Rephaim was the one acting like Stevie Rae was caught in the act of being unfaithful to HIM. I mean, he was thinking just moments before that he didn't need Stevie Rae and at the very start of the book was about to break their Imprint. It's a bit of a double standard really, but an adorable way

Well that's what the reflection in the water showed. That the Native American guy Aphrodite saw was his human half. I think without Zoey being there the human half (his loyalty and love for Stevie Rae) was in constant battle with the Raven Mocker half (his loyalty to his father) but somehow Zoey's lack of presence would mean he wouldn't be able to pick between the two of them. What i found REALLY confusing was Kalona going on "Do not betray me again my son!" How on Earth did Rephaim betray him to begin with? Everything he did with Stevie Rae could be easily explained by saying "You were the one that betrayed me Father, you abandoned me and left me for dead. I simply did what i had to do to survive, that is all."

But if Rephaim becomes Human, he won't have his immortal powers or strength, he wouldn't be able to continue to help Stevie Rae the way he does now. He would become a rather noticable liability as a human. How would Kalona even know that Rephaim and Stevie Rae were Imprinted? When he was in the Other-World, Rephaim didn't even cross his mind. Which is really starting to piss me off. Kalona accusing Rephaim of betrayal is bit hypocritical as well, especially on his knees infront of Neferet. Maybe Rephaim betraying Kalona but still being with him is a future event, it was a vision of the Future after all.
