Dallas! Hello! Does anyone remember him?

What does everyone think his role is going to be in the next book.
He was the one who found out the truth about his High Priestess! and took off.
What is he going to do with his new found affinity with Electricity and now
being on the side with Darkness?

I think he is going to tell in her. Then no one is going to believe him, then someone gets suspicious and finds her with Rephiam, I think it i going to be Kamisha who discovers Stevie Rae next

i reckon that he wont tell anyone, stalk stevie-rae and try to kill Rephiam but fail and then die a very painful death ... THE END lol

you're really thinking that Stevie Rae would tell them on purpose about her - let's call it friendship with Rephaim? I guess that Aphrodite will tell the others about her vision and maybe she and Kamishra would look where Stevie is going and they will tell the others... or Dallas would. But i agree, they would disbelieve her for a few chapter and then eyeryhing would be fine
I guess Kalona will try to kill Stevie Rae to get his favourite son back...? and then rephaim would rescue her and then Stevie Rae's friends are seeing that they belong together blabla

I hope's his back so Stevie Ray can kick him up the bum because he was just plain rude when he did that i mean she has a link witht the enemy but it can also help them. He needs to get his act toghther instead of being all puffed up and jealous ex-boyfriend!!!

i already thought about that Erik and Dallas have similarities. but i guess Erik is mature enough to reject Darkness, even if he's a jealous fool.

you two are frightening me - you like evil?^^ Rephaim is my favourite charakter, but i don't like him because i like evil o.O i just like him..!
and i think stark is a nice guy, but i didn't like how he was acting when Zoey was shattered and he handle the others like a bunch of idiots...

hm i don't think that Rephaim is in love with Stevie Rae, too, otherwise he hadn't been able to leave her at the end of burned. but i think he likes her and parts of the "good side"

i think that he does love Stevie Rae and that he just doesn't know it yet. Don't you remember the whole "what I seek most is love." thing?

Maybe it's just me, but I'm able to see beyond the fact that Rephaim was born part-bird/part-guy (because he somehow had a say in that to begin with) and just because he's a Immortal Hybrid, doesn't mean he doesn't have a personality. Rephaim is one of my favourite characters because of who is he is as a WHOLE. The Raven aspects of him are exactly the same as Stevie Rae's tattoos. They have helped mould Stevie Rae and Rephaim into the people they are now, but they don't define them, they are just pieces of them.

I understand that some people don't think that Rephaim is in love with Stevie Rae, fair enough. That's your opinion and you have a right to it. I however think differently. I think that Rephaim is in love with Stevie Rae but is currently torn between his love for Stevie Rae and his loyalty to his father. Can you imagine that kind of inner struggle of having to chose between your family and your Mate?

The fact that Rephaim decided they were impossible, instead of just saying he didn't care about Stevie Rae in a Romantic sense, i think really shows he does indeed love her, he's just scared. He's never been in love before and he's afraid of being rejected and hurt, just like everybody else is. Just like Stevie Rae is. Then there's these extracts from the book Burned:

"Love couldn't be possible for him. He shouldn't even want it- shouldn't even think of it. But he did. Since Stevie Rae had touched his life, Rephaim had begun to think of love." p227

"He couldn't touch the moon: it was as impossible as it was for a creature such as he to be loved." p228

He's just confused and hopefully he'll figure it all out.

Well when you get down to it, Stevie Rae's tattoo isn't really a mark of love. It's a mark born of Sacrifice (from Aphrodite). So in a way, Rephaim's "birdlyness" as you like to put it, is also a mark of sacrifice (from his mother). Now I understand that Aphrodite's sacrifice is different because it was made of Aphrodite's free will (as aposed to Rephaim's mother having that choice taken from her). I'm not excusing that, what happened to Rephaim's mother is undoubtly horrible, but there's not a lot that Rephaim can do to change that nor is he responsible for that. But Rephaim can change how he looks.

Grandma Redbird said "The mind can be a powerful ally of the spirit. Sometimes our minds can even change the very fabric of our souls." p165

So if Rephaim wants to bad enough, he can change,

And i see through this birdthings, too. i really like him, because of his personality and i found it exciting, that it's possible for him to turn to his human side. and as Bella said, it was not Rephaims decision to be a "product" of hate and pain! it's not his fault but Kalonas! i can understand that Stevie Rae likes him, 'cause there's undoubtly a good side inside him and i really like how he is. and in the book stands that she could see beauty in him... maybe it doesn't look as "disgusting" as you're thinking. the appearance isn't everything!
