Dark hearts

"Alright, I'll be back." I went out to grab my dress. Okay. I put it on and did my make up in 5 minutes and it still looked good. "Alright."
I got ready to pick her up.

"Thanks. You look good too. Like a thousand dollars." I smiled at her.
I got in my car and drove to Sammys.

"I'm worth more," I put my finger to my chin to think. "I think a quarter to a billion."
I parked outside and saw someone else there. I recognized him from last night. "Hey." I said to him.

"They're here." I said and headed to the door.
"Yeah, she welcomed me to the neighborhood by inviting me in and to the dance. You're Mal's human right?" I stared at him in wonder.

"You look fine." I opened the door and had a huge smile on my face.
I waved at Mal. "It's the same thing to vampires. Take it from one who's been there for years."

I smiled "Okay." I laughed and walked over to Mal and gave her a hug.

I walked slowly to the door and peeked out the door, not showing mydress

I huged him back. "Here's that dress I bought specialy for tonight." I said.
I saw Sammy peeking out. I used my speed again and tapped her shoulder.

I kissed him quickly. "I know this night will be a lot of fun."
"Too late. You look gorgeous." I smiled and put my hands in my pockets.

I followed him happily.
"Come on." I grabbed her hand and led her to my car.

"Thank you, sir." I said and got in.
"Alright." I waited at the door.

I heard Sammy's thoughts and frowned. I meant in death, I would be worth that much. The dress was 400. I sent to her.
I looked at the stairs.

I left my phone downstairs so I couldn't text Mal and tell her I wasn't going.


"Want to go straight to the dance or grab a bite to eat first?"

"Don't matter to me. As long as you're full and happy. I'm not the human." I said like it's natural.
I went upstairs. "What's wrong?"

"I'm serious. I don't need to eat that stuff anymore."
I sat down on the bed. "Why not?"

"I understand." I smiled and took her hand. "We are going to the dance."


"Because..." I said

"Alright. I won't argue, but if the dance bores you we can go somewhere else." I giggled.
"I understand, not feeling pretty. My mom explained it to me."
