"Why did Neferet kill Jack??"

1. She's evil, she does not value life at all.
2. She had a debt needed paying and Jack fitted the bill.
3. She needed a way to lure Zoey out of hiding.
4. Jack is part of the nerd herd, therefore Neferet's enemy.
5. She's clearly insane.

As for Damien, I can't be sure. I wouldn't wager Damien being the revenge type like that douche Dragon. I think he'll mostly just grieve for a few days, have a few mood swings between angry and sad. He might demand justice for his boyfriend's death but his only evidence is Rephaim's word so basically it just means the nerd herd have another personal score to settle with Neferet.

omgggg!!!!! when i read that part last night i started bawling my eyes out and couldnt read it for the rest of last night. i wish i was there to give damien a hug!!! i feel so bad fo him!!! he is my second favorite character!!!!!!<3333

i have an idea why neferet killed jack. its because he didnt agree w/ her, like professor nolan and loren didnt. and it might also have something to do w/ getting zoey back to tulsa, instead of being of isle of skye, where neferet cant get her.

i didnt cry or throw the book cuz a character died, but i did feel sorry for damien. i guess that i dont get into the other books like other ppl do.

I dont care why she did it! She killed Jack!!! How rude! I liked him. Damion and Jack were like the cutest couples in the book!

To be honest if I were in Neferet's place, evil and all, I probably would have killed Jack earlier. Nothing personal against him or anything, but if I were evil than I'd probably get off causing as much misery and pain as possible. Jack being the bright optimist with a mate and all, he was the perfect target for breaking some spirits. Actually it seems Neferet did achieve that in a literal kind of sense, making sure all the purple spirit candles would be used up at the pyre.

I agree with you, Neferet doesn't value nothing.

Soo Sad :/ I Cried and felt terrible for Damien:/ they were like the two best people in the book , and he had the biggest heart:/

I cried sooo hard when I read that part, my boyfriend came over the next day and ask how the book was and I started crying all over again. I loved Jack, I feel soo bad for Damien! I want to hug him, kill Neferet, then go back to hugging him!

Oh poor Damien, I really think after everything finsihes Damien will just shut down, and crawl into a hole (scenario 1) or he will bounce back really storng, never leaving zoey and finally when he dies he gets reunitied with Jack. Miss Jack lots

I loves Jack, when i read that part i wanted to kick Neferet's butt and i felt so bad for Damien i wantred to give him a big ol hug.

^ is started to cry too, i loved jack he was just so sweet and lovable and the purest person in zoey and Stevie Rae's friend circle.

He was one of my fave characters.
Why couldn't she have done it to one
